Wintertime in the Valley is one of the most enjoyable times of the year. There is a reason why the snowbirds flock to Scottsdale, and it may have something to do with the warm temps. Unfortunately, dressing the part seems to be a challenge for many, but thanks to Scottsdale Quarter’s Marketing Director Alison Goodman, we have great tips for looking your best during the winter months. Alison’s sense of style is on point and for the next three weeks she will take us to three different store’s located at my favorite mall to give us examples of outfits that you can use as inspiration to spruce up your wardrobe.

The final weekend for holiday parties before Christmas is approaching quickly and we are winding down our shopping spree. Our go-to and knowledgeable shopping expert has taken us to Free People where she taught us how to incorporate some of our favorite decades fashion styles into our holiday wardrobe as well as introduced us to patterned leggings. Next stop on our shopping spree was to the GAP, where we learned that it’s never too late to wear white after Labor Day and that “gray is the new black.” Our final store is the cute little boutique Lindsay Lou, where Alison will show us some great ideas for looking super chic this holiday season!

look one Lindsay Lou is the perfect place to find that LA-inspired and trendy look and this outfit is no exception. Leather pieces are huge this holiday season and this dress is combining two trends: sheer paneling amidst a luxe fabric. And remember, it’s never a bad idea to update that LBD category in your closet.
look two ‘Tis the season for the sweatshirt! Paired with jeans, pencil skirts and everything in between, this gym-going staple is having its moment. Some great finds come from Wildfox at Lindsay, where the fabrics are soft and the sayings are tongue-in-cheek. There are no rules when it comes to your sweatshirt – rock in anytime and every time.
look three Layer, layer and layer some more – this look combines the comfort of a slouchy boyfriend jean with a girlie floral top and strategically placed scarf. For the warmer mid-days of Arizona winter, this look will take you far. Add a pair of open-toed booties to the ensemble to dress up the distressed denim.
