Home & Design Daily Expo debuts
By Noelle Coyle
Looking for design ideas and home improvement-related companies can be an overwhelming project as you spend time and money driving from one location to the next. Starting next spring, however, consumers and home and design professionals will have hundreds of choices in one location at AZ Big Media’s new Home & Design Daily Expo.
The first of its kind in Arizona, the Home & Design Daily Expo will have two locations opening spring 2009 — one in the North Scottsdale area and the other in the East Valley/Chandler area. Visitors to the expo can browse more than 200 vignettes featuring businesses that represent as many as 120 categories of home improvement products and services. Using a handheld scanner received upon entering, visitors scan companies and products of interest. When they are ready to leave, an expo staff member will give them a print out of their selected companies, along with brochures for each one. Their contact information will be provided to the companies as well.
“The Home & Design Daily Expos will be the state’s largest permanent exhibition centers dedicated to showcasing home building, interior design, gardening, home decor and furnishings,” says Michael Atkinson, president and CEO of AZ Big Media. “As our name suggests, we will offer an upscale, professional home show environment that is open daily to visitors at no cost.
“The idea of the home show has been around for decades,” he says. “Creative home idea centers like the Home & Design Daily Expo have enjoyed great success throughout Australia, Europe and are now opening in most major markets in the U.S. The opening of the Home & Design Daily Expo in Maricopa County, the third largest populated county in the U.S., will be on the cutting edge of the interior design and the home-building industry.”
Open seven days a week, the Home & Design Daily Expo will have special weekend events, including “how-to” seminars, manufacturer’s weekends, trunk shows, tent sales, home improvement guest speakers and new product displays.Meeting room facilities available on-site allow customers to meet with vendors in private. There’s also an on-site cafe for customers’ convenience.
“Pre-qualified exhibitors will include some of the world’s largest companies, local manufacturers, suppliers and start-up companies,” Atkinson says. “Displays will be designed, constructed and maintained with the highest attention to detail. We’ll have design consultants available for final booth design to ensure only the highest level of quality is showcased at the Home & Design Daily Expo.”
