Kimberly A. Demarchi, a partner in the Litigation practice group at Lewis Roca Rothgerber Christie LLP, has been elected to membership in the American Academy of Appellate Lawyers.

Demarchi represents public, private and non-profit clients in civil appeals and in the litigation of complex matters. Her practice also includes government law, representing state, local and tribal governments in administrative and court proceedings. She also advises a wide range of clients on compliance with campaign finance, election and lobbying laws.

She is active in numerous bar and community organizations, is a frequent speaker and periodically teaches undergraduate and law classes in ethics, government law and constitutional law.

Academy membership is by invitation only and limited to 500 members in the United States. A nominee’s practice must have focused substantially on appeals during at least the last 15 years. Candidates are nominated by a current AAAL member, reviewed and approved by a membership evaluation committee, and elected at a regular Academy meeting.

Lewis Roca Rothgerber Christie attorneys who are also members of American Academy of Appellate Lawyers include Daniel Polsenberg, Susan Freeman and Lawrence Kasten.

AAAL was founded in 1990 to recognize outstanding appellate lawyers and promote the improvement of appellate advocacy and the administration of the appellate courts.
