Best known best for its award-winning, coal-fired oven-baked pizza, calzones, fresh salads and delicious deserts, Arizona-based Grimaldi’s Pizzeria is celebrating 10 years of flourishing business in the Valley. Despite the recession, Grimaldi’s Pizzeria has experienced a continuing double-digit growth with no sign of stopping.

Grimaldi’s has experienced a 33 percent increase in 2011 and 21 percent increase in 2012.  Grimaldi’s Pizzeria has seven locations throughout Arizona and 22 more throughout the U.S. With no sign of slowing down, it’s continuing its growing trend into 2013 with the opening of six new locations in Colorado, California, Missouri, Texas and Florida. To accommodate its new locations, Grimaldi’s is planning to hire 500 more people, bringing the total employee count to more than 2,500. In a time when jobs are crucial to the economy, the pizzeria is not only maintaining a steady growth of its own business, but also attributing to the economy with jobs to the workforce.

Grimaldi’s goal to provide the finest meals, customer service and warm atmosphere has attributed to its growth.

“In challenging times, customers are looking for quality and consistency and that is what Grimaldi’s Pizzeria continues to provide; our philosophy has always been to serve the finest ingredients and maintain great customer service,” said Joe Ciolli, president and CEO of Grimaldi’s Pizzeria. “This has paid off tremendously, and whether Grimaldi’s is located in Arizona, California or Texas, customers are guaranteed a delicious meal and a warm, welcoming atmosphere.”

The pizzeria is not only an Arizona favorite, with seven locations (two in Chandler, one in Gilbert, three in Scottsdale and one in Peoria and Tucson), but it also consistently wins Zagat’s best pizza year after year.

In celebration of “10 years in the Valley,” on February 24, Grimaldi’s Pizzeria will celebrate with an upscale birthday party event benefiting Phoenix Children’s Hospital (PCH) at its Old Town Scottsdale location. One-hundred percent of the proceeds from the event will go to PCH. At the event, guests will enjoy a meal of their choice for $50, and local celebrities will be serving guests, a World Champion dough-thrower will be present as well as a Frank Sinatra impersonator — in addition to other exciting birthday surprises.

Scottsdale Mayor Jim Lane will also declare February 24 as “Grimaldi’s Pizzeria Day.”
