Mexican pop-rock star Julieta Venegas has announced that she will stop in Phoenix as a part of her Los Momentos Tour this fall.

She will be performing at Comerica Theatre on October 18 at 8 p.m.

image004The Mexican star has achieved platinum status in several countries for her album Limon y Sal in 2006.

She has also been nominated for Latin Grammys in the category “Best Rock Song” for “Today I want” and “Bueninvento.”

Venegas has also graced the stage with numerous prominent musicians, including drummer Joey Waronker (Beck, REM, Smashing Pumpkins), bassist Fernando Sanders (Lou Reed) and sax/flute player Steve Berlin (Los Lobos).

Her album Los Momentos came out in April, and made Venegas the first Latin artist with a streaming iTunes page. The album debuted as top three in South America, and reached number one in Mexico, Colombia, and Venezuela.
