The Gaslight Anthem @ The Marquee
Inspired by Bruce Springsteen, the Gaslight Anthem has celebrated their punk rock sound and has recently released their fifth album, “Get Hurt”, earlier this year. Formed in New Brunswick, New Jersey, the Gaslight Anthem found their niche and was signed to XOXO records after coming together in 2006. Their debut album, “Sink or Swim”, was recorded in less than two weeks and gained attention from fans but did not hit the string they were looking for. By late 2007, the band had played over 200 shows and were releasing albums every other year. “The ’59 Sound” and “American Slang”, issued under SideOneDummy Records, put them on the map and “American Slang” opened at #16 on the Billboard 200 chart. Gaslight Anthem has traveled internationally and played at the Reading and Leeds festival in the UK. Experience Gaslight Anthem’s punk rock sound and newest tracks at The Marquee.

A Change of Pace @ Crescent Ballroom
Traveling back to their roots, A Change of Pace was formed in 2001 by high school friends Torry Jasper and Jonathan Kelley. They formed freshman year and started to play local gigs around Arizona. Johnny Abdullah, bassist, Adam Rogers, lead guitarist, and Dan Parker, guitar, joined around 18 months ago and the band was quickly signed to Immortal Records. Lyrics and music are written by Torry Jasper that gives A Change of Pace their pop punk feel. A Change of Pace’s first album, “An Offer You Can’t Refuse,” hit the airwaves and was they were scheduled for a spot on the Vans Warp Tour. A year later, in 2006, “Prepare the Masses” was released and a fan base started to develop. The Beatles, Black Sabbath, and Five For Fighting are just some of the artists their music is drawn from and incorporates pop, punk, rock and some metal to create their own style. A Change of Pace has disappeared, but is returning to their home state to rock out!
