Camp Verde

  • Where To Stay
  • Where To Play
  • Where To Eat

If you’ve ever driven to Flagstaff on the I-17, you’d be hard-pressed to miss spotting this city. Camp Verde, much like other towns and cities in Arizona, settlers migrated to the Verde Valley because of the mining industry. Once called Camp Lincoln, established in 1865, it was soon changed to Camp Verde. If you love the outdoors, you’ll love Camp Verde; here you can go horseback riding, four wheeling, jeep tours, hiking, camping, canoeing, kayaking and fishing. The Montezuma Castle National Monument, Montezuma Well, the Verde River and Cliff Castle Casino are nearby, as well.
