Cottonwood-BikingCalled “The Old Town City” and the “Biggest Little Town in Arizona,” Cottonwood was once a farming settlement until World War I. Since then, it has grown into the Verde Valley’s population center. Cottonwood is located between Prescott and Sedona, surrounded by varied topography, including jagged mountains, mesas and buttes. Nearby, you’ll find ancient Indian ruins, ghost towns and more to visit; and for those interested in seeing more of the Arizona outdoors, Oak Creek Canyon is nearby, as well.
