LakePowellPage is located just outside of the Glen Canyon National Recreation Area and the Navajo Nation. The city is a great destination for those interested in visiting these two areas and a great place to enjoy a view of Lake Powell. Lake Powell is the second largest manmade lake in the U.S., spanning over 180 miles up to the Colorado River, providing access to 96 major scenic canyons as well as many water activities.

Its comprised of Colorado River waters that was held back by the Glen Canyon in 1963, and now its a popular stop for water recreational activities and sports of all kinds. Lake Powell is America’s second largest man-made lake, rising at 3,700 feet above sea level, taking 17 years for the lake to fill to this point. Not only do tourists come for the lake, but for the hiking opportunities as well, whether it be at Rainbow Bridge, a natural stone bride; West Canyon, where many boat through; Antelope Canyon, known for its scenic slot canyon region; Navajo Canyon, La Gorce Arch or Cathedral in the Desert.
