Williams-Route66Located only 60 miles south of the Grand Canyon, Williams is known as the “Gateway to the Grand Canyon,” with trains departing for the world wonder each day. Williams is also home to America’s “Mother Road,” Route 66. Route 66 runs through the center of this mountain town and serves as its Main Street. The town is surrounded by the Kaibab National Forest and the Bill Williams Mountain region. Williams offers plenty of recreational activities such as hiking and camping.
