Bistro du Lac, a new French bistro and bakery will officially open its doors on Monday Feb. 2 in Scottsdale at 8320 North Hayden Road, Suite D-101 in the space that was formerly Buster’s on the Lake.

Bisto du Lac located on the lake in McCormick Ranch will be open seven days per week for lunch and dinner starting at 11:00 a.m. Brunch is served on Saturday and Sunday from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Founded by longtime French-born friends, the restaurant will be operated by Restaurant and Bakery Manager Catherine Berraud Dufour and Lounge Manager Thierry Voisin. Bistro du Lac’s Executive Pastry Chef is Jean Claude Melito who will provide an array of mouth-watering authentic French pastries daily including croissants, macaroons, fresh-baked breads and more. Executive Sous Chef Charles Delli Pizzi currently heads the kitchen and the Executive Chef will be named shortly.

Bistro du Lac’s menu is very classically French with a few twists including a Caesar salad with slow roasted tomatoes, hearts of romaine and fresh basil, Ahi Poke and watermelon “martini” with a sweet chili sauce and cream of mushroom soup with brie filled profiteroles.

“We will feature French favorites like steak frites, bouillabaisse, and beef bourguignon on the menu as well some twists that will give the menu a broad appeal,” said Berraud Dufour.

The atmosphere at Bistro du Lac is bright and cheerful with tomato-red walls offset by white accents and crystal chandeliers. The space also features two expansive patios on the lake, a large lounge and French bakery and market.

“We are truly a neighborhood French bistro in the heart of Scottsdale and we cannot wait to get to know our neighbors,” said Berraud Dufour.
