Fired Pie Brings the Heat to Scottsdale Location

Locally-owned and operated, Fired Pie is making their mark in the Valley with the opening of their newest location. The fast casual pizza concept exploded on the scene just six months ago and opens their fourth location next week in North Scottsdale. Located just west of the 101 freeway on Raintree and Northsight. On Wednesday, December 11th, Fired Pie will host their grand opening with 100% of the proceeds going to the Phoenix 20-30 Club and their Christmas Bowling with Santa event that benefits UMOM. UMOM is a non-profit that helps underprivileged children and families.

The restaurant allows you to take on the role of chef by picking and choosing your own type of dough, sauce and topping. The sophisticated-yet-affordable pizzeria also offers build-your-own salads. If you want to leave the creativity to them, you can pick from one of their suggested items.

Consumers today want quality offerings made quickly. The limited-service pizza segment does $31 billion in sales and if you add casual Italian dining chains, pizza is part of a $50-billion marketplace.

“We are excited to open our fourth store here in the Valley,” says Fred Morgan, one of the restaurant’s three founders. “After opening two in Phoenix and one location in Chandler, North Scottsdale is a natural progression in our growth.”

Fired Pie was born from the minds of Morgan, Rico Cuomo and Doug Doyle. The trio worked together for more than 15 years, rising through the ranks of California Pizza Kitchen. Morgan and Doyle recently worked with the senior team at Oregano’s Pizza Bistro which brought them to the Phoenix market where they were reunited with Rico. They found themselves brainstorming about the art of making a great pizza pie: dough, sauce, cheese, fresh herbs, meats, local organic ingredients—and knew with the right precision they could become real game-changers in the pizza industry.

“We serve quality food, made fresh to order,” says Cuomo. “Where else can you get a customized meal in less than four minutes?”

The new restaurant features a uniquely crafted modern-edge decor with impeccable attention to detail. The simplistic yet stylish interior finishing evokes a welcoming rapport.

“People kept asking us when we were coming to Scottsdale,” says Doyle. “We have found the perfect location at Northsight and Raintree.”

The new Fired Pie is located at 14740 N. Northsight Blvd., in Scottsdale. For more information, menus, hours and locations, visit firedpie.com or you can like their Facebook page at facebook.com/FiredPie.
