The Westin La Paloma Resort & Spa’s restaurant, Poppy Kitchen, is inviting locals to sample modernized American classics this spring and summer with three new menus and a happy hour deal for patrons to enjoy during the warmer months.

The eatery attributes Tucson as the inspiration behind its new dishes and local ingredients such as chilis, Arizona honey and jalapeno peppers are incorporated throughout the menu. Arizona inspiration can also be tasted in the trendy Bloody “Maze” cocktail, which combines sweet corn cream, tequila, and hot sauce and the Tucson Eggs Benedict served up with two chipotle biscuits and green chili hollandaise.

“While creating the new menus, I wanted to stay true to the local flavors and ingredients of Poppy Kitchen’s surroundings. Our new items will be classic American fare with Arizona flair,” said Executive Chef, Gary Hickey.
