It can be hard finding the motivation to workout. Sometimes almost anything else is more appealing then getting off the couch and sweating in the gym. One creative way of motivating yourself is by watching music videos. Seems like a crazy idea right? But in their own individual way, these five videos will give you the extra push to go to the gym.

“Hung Up” by Madonna

Running on the treadmill or lifting weights isn’t for everyone, no matter what the motivation is. Madonna’s music video shows her in a pink leotard in a dance studio. She preforms classical dance moves at the start. By the end, she is street dancing along with other performers. Seeing talented dancers and Madonna’s impressive body gives the viewers to reasons to put on their dancing shoes.

“Physical” by Olivia Newton John

Olivia Newton John is literally trying to make people workout in this video. She is unsuccessful at the start, but two men “get physical” when she starts to shower. Sure this song has sexual undertones, but if you take it at face value it should help you get the gym — and get physical.

“Drop It Like It’s Hot” by Snoop Dogg ft. Pharrell Williams

Not only does this song have a great beat to it, but the songs can make working out a whole lot better. The lyrics make “Drop It Like It’s Hot” the ultimate squat song. You don’t even need to go to the gym to squat. You can watch this music video and start dropping like its hot in the same room.

“Baby One More Time” by Britney Spears

This iconic music video features Britney and her classmates dancing around in scandalous uniforms. Britney’s toned abs are on display the entire time. The only way to get abs comparable to hers is buckling down and doing those crunches.

“Just Don’t Know What to Do With Myself” by The White Stripes

Kate Moss just doesn’t know what to do with herself…so she dances (rather sexually) on a mysterious box and pole. This video could motivate you in two ways. Like many other music video stars, Kate Moss has a body that many women envy. If wanting to look like her isn’t motivation enough, her dancing skills may inspire you to take a class or two.
