Women of Scottsdale has announced the 2014 Woman of the Year, Dr. Cie Scott.  Dr. Scott moved to Scottsdale in 2003 and for the past nine years has been a member of Women of Scottsdale.  In 2008, Dr. Scott was awarded Art Renaissance Woman of the Year.  Dr. Scott has a Ph.D. in psychology and has presented seminars internationally and in Scottsdale on the fields of health, beauty and fitness.  Prior to moving to Scottsdale, she has hosted a national television show for FOX and ABC networks, highlighting strategies and principles for transforming the mind and body; Infinite Power was punctuated with daily inspiration and interviews from Hollywood’s biggest stars.  With her extensive television career she earned 8 Tellys, 2 Vision Awards, and 2 Emmy nominations for TV hosting and producing.  Dr. Scott continues to be a voting member of th Academy of Television Arts and Sciences, producing the Primetime Emmys and creating positive television projects. Dr. Scott will be honored on Friday, February 20, at the Women of Scottsdale luncheon. C-CAP (Careers through Culinary Arts Program) is the Women of Scottsdale’s 2015 Philanthropy Partner.Careers through Culinary Arts Program is a national non-profit that prepares at-risk high school students for college and careers in the restaurant and hospitality industry. For the past 25 years, C-CAP has provided job training and internships, scholarships, teacher training, cooking competitions, college and career advising and product and equipment donations.  C-CAP Arizona’s program supports over 6,000 students, teachers and educators statewide.

 

“We are thrilled Dr. Cie Scott is our 2014 Woman of the Year! And we are excited to partner with C-CAP to further their mission of helping students find rewarding careers in the foodservice and hospitality industry,” said Women of Scottsdale President & CEO, JoAnn Holland. “We will celebrate Cie on February 20th and with our philanthropy partner we will collect funds from the Women of Scottsdale to create a Women of Scottsdale Scholarship to be presented to a C-CAP student in March 2016.”

 

Also announced last month, The 2015 Director for Women of Scottsdale will be Nancy McCutcheon from Virginia G. Piper Cancer Center at Scottsdale Healthcare.
