Plaza Medical & Research Center Phase II sells for $5.35M

DTZ, a global leader in commercial real estate services, has announced that American Realty Capital Healthcare Trust II, Inc., a New York-based REIT, purchased Plaza Medical & Research Center Phase II for $5.35 million. The seller was Plaza Medical Research Center Phase II, LLC (dba Plaza Companies, Sharon Harper, President). Located at 13090 N 94th Drive in Peoria, AZ, the ±33,700 square foot medical office building is located on the Plaza Del Rio Campus, Arizona’s largest non-hospital medical-related business campus.

DTZ Executive Managing Director Eric Wichterman and Senior Vice President Mike Coover represented the seller in the investment sales transaction.

“This property is surrounded by a diverse and growing population of young professionals, decision-makers and retirees,” said Mr. Wichterman. “As the medical office market continues to recover, buyers are actively looking for properties in these prime locations that support the broad spectrum of medical specialists and ancillary medical users that will fuel demand for medical office space.”

Built in 2002, the two-story, multi-tenant Plaza Medical & Research Center Phase II was 97% occupied at the time of sale.

Plaza Companies awarded leasing for Arrowhead Medical Plaza II

Plaza Companies has been selected to manage property and construction services for a busy medical office building in Glendale.

American Realty Capital Healthcare Trust II, Inc. (ARC Healthcare) has retained Plaza Companies for its 45,289-square-foot Energy-Star rated property known as Arrowhead Medical Plaza II.  The three-story medical office building is located on the campus of Arrowhead Hospital at 18700 N 64th Dr. in Glendale.  Over the years Arrowhead Hospital has grown from an 84-bed facility to a 217-bed, nationally recognized, full-service acute care hospital.

The on-campus medical office building is located in a high-growth area with immediate access to the 101 Freeway and is poised to benefit from increasing demand for medical services which are expected to surge over the next decade because of the new healthcare laws combined with the rapid growth of the over-65 age bracket. That’s especially true in retiree-heavy Arizona.

ARC Healthcare said they chose Plaza Companies for property management and construction services because of the company’s history and expertise in the medical office field, coupled with its strong local presence in metropolitan Phoenix.
