JDRF Builds Creative Fundraising Campaign

With the economy in a constant state of flux, JDRF (Junior Diabetes Research Foundation) has come up with an innovative way to raise money for their cause. BedBrock Developers  and its Owner, Richard Brock has offered to donate at least $250,000 from the sale of a $3,350,000 home to be built in Paradise Valley, AZ. In addition, any funds raised beyond the $3.4M will be donated to JDRF. On top of this profoundly generous donation, Sandra Wilken Luxury Properties, as the listing brokerage, will make a sizeable donation in 2013. Total donation could exceed $280,000.

The French villa inspired home, designed by Carson Poetzl Inc., will be called “Matt’s House”, named after Richard Brock’s son, who currently lives among the 3 million Americans with Type 1 Diabetes and is the inspiration in structuring such a unique opportunity to raise awareness and funds for the ongoing research.

The 6,400 sq. ft. home will sit on a 1.06 acre lot and feature 4 bedrooms, 4.5 bathrooms, 5 car garage, an office, pool and spa.

“As the father of a diabetic son, I understand the challenges that families face and sincerely hope that the involvement of BedBrock Developers can make a difference in advancing research.” says Richard Brock. He continues, “that house will always have special meaning to me.”

“We are so thankful to the Brock Family for making this generous commitment to JDRF,” said Cindy Adams, Executive Director.  “The funds raised from the sale of “Matt’s House” will help us make significant progress towards finding a cure for Type 1 Diabetes.”
