OliverMcMillan breaks ground on SALT apartments

OliverMcMillan, a boutique real estate developer known for creating artistic, enduring destinations, has broken ground on SALT – a four-story, 265-unit, Class A apartment community in Tempe, Ariz.

The development will feature studio, 1, 2, and 3 bedroom living spaces.  Residents will enjoy boutique resort style amenities with two pools, spa, yoga lawn, poolside cabanas, multiple outdoor barbeque areas, lush landscaping, and direct frontage on Tempe Town Lake.   The community also includes a large gym complete with cardio equipment, free weights and resistance training equipment, a media room, and a spacious social room.  SALT (formerly the Lofts@Hayden Ferry) is slated to open in early 2016.

The 3.7 acre project site is part of the Hayden Ferry Lakeside mixed-use Master Plan which includes residential, retail, hotel and office uses.  The site is nearby to Arizona State University Campus and the Mill Avenue Entertainment District.  It is next door to the new State Farm campus currently under construction.

Shea Homes breaks ground on new neighborhoods at Johnson Ranch

Shea Homes Arizona will open its sixth and seventh new community this year, Ridgeview and Hideaway at Johnson Ranch. The anticipated opening is November 2012 with 6 model homes breaking ground in late August.

Johnson Ranch is a beautiful master floor plans community located at Hunt Highway and Johnson Ranch Boulevard in the Southeast Valley. Ridgeview at Johnson Ranch boasts 6 plans from Shea’s 2900 series ranging in square footage from 1,500-2,468. There are 113 lots with an average lot size of 45×110.

These homes are built for optimum energy efficiency and carry the newly upgraded ENERGY STAR 3.0 rating. They have multiple distinct features from other area builders including the Environments for Living (EFL) designation, which guarantees home cooling and heating costs won’t exceed a specified limit for two years. If the home goes over the guarantee, a refund of the difference is given. There will also be options to upgrade the homes with solar packages.
