The duo has established that they are quite the jokers – their bio reads ‘Professional fake book writer and a leprechaun farmer who’s a gambler” and they always are having the best time preforming.  Their remix of Oasis’ “Wonderwall” has a huge hit and the duo preformed at their first festival this year, Mysteryland.  This up and coming duo is definitely making a big name for themselves in the EDM world.

Meet the Models of Scottsdale 16: Jenna Wood

Scottsdale 16, part of Steve LeVine Entertainment & Public Relations, is an elite group of young, beautiful women in Arizona who can be booked for a variety of events. These outgoing ladies provide a professional yet fun vibe to any atmosphere, whether they’re hosting corporate parties, special events, modeling for promotional events or walking at runway shows.

Jenna Wood

Jenna Wood

Meet Jenna Wood, who recently gave Scottsdale Living a few of her favorite swimsuit trends this summer!

How did you start modeling?
I grew up dancing at a studio. When I stepped into the professional dance industry, it was important to have a modeling portfolio. It all blossomed from there once I met the right people.

What type of modeling do you like the most and why?
I prefer print over runway because I’m not among the tallest girls. I like fun and sexy shoots, something tasteful yet unique.

What is your favorite shoot you’ve done?
I did a really amazing photoshoot at an abandoned potato barn a few years ago. It was a huge venue with tons of graffiti and broken glass. We got creative and had a blast.

What’s your favorite modeling photo?
My favorite photo, to this day, is a shoot I did when I was 18 by Benizo. He caught me in a perfect high-kick while wearing heels and a fedora! It’s such a beautiful shot and he is an amazing photographer.

What advice would you give someone interesting in modeling?
I would recommend practicing in the mirror. I grew up in a dance studio so I spent years in front of a wall of mirrors. It’s important when learning your angles and how to use light.

What is your favorite place to eat in Scottsdale?
I think I could eat at Sushi Roku everyday for the rest of my life. It’s definitely the freshest sushi you can find in Scottsdale, combined with a sexy atmosphere and fantastic service. Every time I walk in, they bring me a glass of my usual Malbec!

What is your favorite bar/nightclub in Scottsdale?
If I’m in the mood to get dolled up, I definitely love Maya. It’s a little taste of Vegas and they always have my favorite DJs. If I’m just trying to go out and have a beer, I stay at El Hefe Scottsdale or Bottled Blonde.

El Hefe Super Macho Taqueria Opens in Tempe on NYE

If you’re heading out to Mill Avenue for New Year’s Eve, why not do it surrounded by platefuls of  award-winning food at the District’s newest bar/restaurant?

Riot Hospitality Group (RHG) will celebrate the grand opening of El Hefe Super Macho Taqueria in Tempe on Tuesday, December 31. The award-winning restaurant and bar concept will be located at 640 S. Mill Ave — the former location of Canteen Modern Tequila Bar. The New Year’s Eve celebration will take place in the courtyard behind El Hefe and RHG’s newest venue, Public House on Sixth. Doors open at 5 p.m. and the event is 21 years and older.

Riot Hospitality Group, operators of El Hefe in Old Town Scottsdale/Downtown Chicago, Dierks Bentley’s Whiskey Row in Scottsdale and Public House on Sixth in Tempe are proud to be opening the third El Hefe location in Tempe. RHG is known for its from-scratch kitchens, excellent service and quality of product and is expanding its brand to win over the Tempe market with unique venues.

We are thrilled with the success of El Hefe in Old Town Scottsdale and Downtown Chicago and are excited to be announcing the third location in the heart of Tempe,” said Ryan Hibbert, chief executive officer of Riot Hospitality Group. “Tempe is a prime location filled with lively college students and culture and we can’t wait to open our doors.”

El Hefe Super Macho Taqueria Tempe will offer a seamless blend of dining and nightlife. The venue will serve a fresh take on the traditional Mexican Taqueria menu, which offers organic ingredients, house made salsas, unique flavor combinations and award-winning food such as the Hefe Hamburguesa, which won “Best Burger” in 2012 at the Arizona Culinary Festival. El Hefe also won 2013 Phoenix New Times Best Of for “Best Place to Stay Up Late on a Sunday Night.” El Hefe Tempe will also feature the famous “Beer-Garita,” which is your choice of a 32 oz. margarita with a 7 oz. bottle of beer poured upside-down.

The décor is unlike your average Mexican restaurant with natural elements, old school Mexican style and pop culture accents. El Hefe Tempe will be opened Monday through Friday 11 a.m. to 2 a.m. and Saturday and Sunday 10 a.m. to 2 a.m.

Note: Because this event is on Mill Ave. where the city’s annual New Year’s Eve Block Party takes place, an additional cover charge may apply for that party.
