Fall Furniture Fashion Week presented by Feathers and Fashion by Robert Black.

Furnishings And Fashion Intertwine At Fall Furniture Fashion Week

In the spring and summer, neon hues and color blocking were prominent themes and trends in the fashion world. Patterns, mixing prints, and even adding lace for a touch of vintage were popular, too; but these trends weren’t limited to the clothing tucked into fashionistas’ closets. They trickled into the furniture and interior design world, splashed onto walls, fabrics, furnishings and more.

According to Robert Black, owner of Fashion by Robert Black in Scottsdale, fashion and furnishings are quite connected.

To emphasize just how strongly linked furnishings and fashion are, Fashion by Robert Black and Feathers Fine Custom Furnishings are partnering up for a free, week-long event of design-related presentations and new product introductions. The event is aptly named Fall Furniture Fashion Week.

Taking place at Feathers’ showroom, new furniture designs and single spaces by Feathers will be on display. Attendees will also spot vintage pieces from Fashion by Robert Black in the showroom throughout the week.

Speakers at Fall Furniture Fashion Week will cover topics related to textile design, furniture styles, wall finishes/papers, art and accessories, furniture design and manufacturing, draperies, fashion-influencing interiors, color psychology and trends, and more.

One speaker in particular, Barbara Kaplan, will be covering color discovery and how color influences and impacts one’s life and home. This will take place on Saturday, Nov. 10., and on Thursday, Nov. 8, she will also be on a design panel with Black and Jeff Low, Scottsdale designer of some of the nation’s top nightclubs (Pussycat Lounge), lounges (Six), restaurants (La Bocca in Tempe) and hotels (W Scottsdale). They will be discussing fashion, art and interiors.

Fall Furniture Fashion Week will take place Tuesday, Nov. 6 through Saturday, Nov. 10. Two presentations will be held daily, one at 10 a.m. and one at 2 p.m.
