Phoenix Attorney Receives Top Appellate Award

Kathi M. Sandweiss, partner at Phoenix law firm Jaburg & Wilk, P.C has been selected as a ‘2013 Top Rated Lawyer in Appellate Law’ by American Lawyer Media and  Martindale-Hubbell.

Award recipients are selected based on peer reviews. Sandweiss has achieved the AV Preeminent peer review rating, the highest rating in legal ability and ethical standards.

Phoenix Attorney Receives Top Pro Bono Award

Michelle M. Lauer, attorney at business law firm Jaburg & Wilk, P.C. has been awarded Top Pro Bono Attorneys in Arizona from the Arizona Foundation for Legal Services & Education.

The foundation initiated the award in 2001 to recognize attorneys who give their time and expertise to assist Arizonans who do not have available legal resources.

Lauer volunteers her services with Community Legal Services through the Arizona State Bar Volunteer Lawyers Program as well as the Probate Lawyers Assistance Project. Both programs provide legal assistance to low income individuals.

“It is thoroughly rewarding—gives me the warm and fuzzies to provide my services to those who need an attorney’s assistance,” said Lauer.

Lauer has worked over fourteen years in the legal industry gaining experience in Commercial Litigation, Probate, Adult Guardianships, Estate Planning and Appellate.

Phoenix business law firm Jaburg & Wilk, P.C. has eight attorneys listed in the 2013 issue of Southwest Super Lawyers.

The 2013 edition of Southwest Super Lawyers magazine lists attorneys –Lawrence Wilk, Neal Bookspan, Roger Cohen, Mitchell Reichman, and Bridget O’Brien Swartz as “Southwest Super Lawyers 2013”.  Nathan D. Meyer, Laurence Hirsch and Laura Rogal were listed as “Southwest Rising Stars 2013.” The selections were announced last Thursday.

Recognition is limited to the top 5% of attorneys in Arizona. The selection process combines peer nominations and evaluations and independent research. Candidates are evaluated on twelve indicators of peer recognition and professional achievement.
