Lori L. Winkelman: Most Influential Women in Arizona Business

Lori L. Winkelman, partner, Quarles & Brady LLP

Winkelman is serving a three-year term as a Ninth Circuit lawyer representative; is vice president of Arizona Bankruptcy American Inn of Court; and is among Southwest Super Lawyers’ Top 25 female lawyers.

Childhood aspiration: “I was a late bloomer and didn’t go to law school until I was in my 30s. I think there are many younger folks who may not know what they want to do and I think it is OK to wait a little bit until you know yourself better.”

Reception: The 2015 Most Influential Women in Arizona Business will be recognized at the Most Influential Women in Arizona Cocktail Party on August 27, from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at Chateau Luxe. Click here to purchase tickets.

Boys & Girls Clubs’ board adds Jeffrey H. Wolf

The national law firm of Quarles & Brady LLP has added Jeffrey H. Wolf, a partner in the firm’s Phoenix office, to the board of directors for the Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro Phoenix (BGCMP). In this role, Wolf will be responsible for sharing mission and direction, ensuring leadership and resources, and monitoring and improving performance through participation, governance, leadership, and fundraising.

“As someone who grew up in a family of limited means and a father myself, joining this board took on personal meaning to me,” says Wolf, who also has served in leadership role in other Valley non-profit organizations. “The Clubs’ mission—to help kids achieve their full potential—is something I focus on instilling at home each day. It was a perfect fit for me to help an organization that needs people to step up and do it.”

For more than 25 years, Wolf has regularly represented franchisors, manufacturers, and marketers of products and services in a wide range of legal matters. He has extensive experience handling cases involving claims for breach of contract, employment disputes, trade secret misappropriation, and trademark infringement, and he frequently speaks and publishes articles on related topics. Wolf has been listed as a Legal Eagle by Franchise Times magazine each year since 2004 and in The Best Lawyers in America® and Southwest Super Lawyers® each year since 2007, and was recognized by Southwest Super Lawyers® as one of the Top 50 attorneys in Arizona in 2012 and 2013. He earned his law degree from Washington University in St. Louis and his bachelor’s degree from the University of Hartford.
