Ronan Thompson Foundation hosts third annual ‘Gold Party’

The Ronan Thompson Foundation and W Scottsdale invite guests to the third annual “Gold Party” on Saturday, September 27 to benefit The Ronan Thompson Foundation. The event starts at 8:00 p.m. and is for guests 21 years and older. To purchase tickets, please visit wscottsdaletickets.com.

To reflect the theme of the night, guests are encouraged to wear or accessorize with gold. Entertainment throughout the evening include live music performances by S.K.A.M. Artists Chris Garcia, French DJ and producer FlowFly, DJ and vocalist Ayla Simone and local DJ Soulman. In addition, live gold human disco balls will perform an acrobatic routine during the event on the W Scottsdale WET deck. Guests can have their photos taken at a specialty photo booth.

The event will also host a silent auction by Charity Benefits Unlimited, where guests will be able to bid on one-of-a-kind items including sports and celebrity autographed memorabilia from Country music artists, NFL stars and many more.

Last year’s “Gold Party” was attended by more than 250 guests and raised approximately $30,000 to support research for the treatment and cure of neuroblastoma. Money raised from the this year‚s event will help to fund novel scientific approaches to curing neuroblastoma.

The Ronan Thompson Foundation was formed in memory of Ronan Thompson who passed away from neuroblastoma, a form of childhood cancer. September is National Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, identified by a gold ribbon, which is the theme for this event. Over 12,000 children in the U.S. under the age of 21 are diagnosed with cancer every year. National Childhood Cancer Awareness Month‚s goal is to raise awareness on the types of cancer that largely affect children, survivorship issues and raise funds for research and family support. Proceeds from the event will benefit the foundation.

W Scottsdale is located at 7277 East Camelback Road, Scottsdale, Ariz.
