Shea Homes opens 3rd Vista Montana community

Shea Homes Arizona has found much success in the Northwest Valley for its luxury home product and recently opened the third installment of its popular community, Vista Montaña, a gated community located south of Happy Valley Road at 77th Ave. in Peoria.

Vista Montaña III is an expansion of the Vista Montaña II community, which opened in March of 2014 and is near selling out. Vista Montaña III has 38, with average lot sizes of 3/4 acre plus with detached RV and non-RV garages, basement options, guest casitas, pool cabanas and more. There are six floor plans, ranging between 3,091 to over 4,869 square feet and prices start from the $514,990’s. The homes are built using the new Energy Star 3.0 rating, carry the Environments for Living designation and have solar options available. Included features are spacious bedrooms, various flexible spaces for a “custom” feel, large kitchens with expansive islands and oversized 3-car attached garages.

The new models feature enhanced kitchen and master bathrooms from the original Vista Montaña community and are representative of what homebuyers in the market are looking for.  All floorplans now come with an optimized kitchen that includes self-close dovetailed drawers and pullouts, upgraded appliances, a built in spice rack and Lazy Susan. The master bathrooms have been upgraded with the addition of a mega shower, which increases resale value. Buyers also now have the option of multiple detached garage options with extras that can be customized into a dorm room, guest casita, hobby space or garage workshop with bathroom, or storage loft.

“In light of how popular our Vista Montaña communities have been; it only made sense to add a third community of these luxury homes,” said Shea Homes Arizona Vice President of Sales and Marketing Ken Peterson. “The continued interest in housing in the Northwest Valley is really exciting for us at Shea Homes. We hope to continue building more and more communities there.”

Shea breaks ground on Shea3D community in Estrella

Shea Homes Arizona will break ground in mid-September, on its fifth Shea3D community in the West Valley, anticipated to open this December. Inspire at Estrella will be the sixth Shea Homes community opening this year.

Located in Goodyear, Estrella is a 20,000 acre resort-style, master-planned community set against the Sierra Estrella Mountains. Although it’s a short drive from Phoenix, residents have everything they need with Estrella’s extensive amenities, including a championship 18-hole Golf Club of Estrella, 72 acres of lakes for fishing/boating, 20 miles of hiking/biking paths, Starpointe Residence Club and Water Park, nearby shopping, dining, three onsite schools and more.

Inspire at Estrella has 110 home sites sized at 60×115 featuring four popular plans from Shea’s innovative product line called Shea3D. The plans are named Compel, Indulge, Spark and Excite ranging from 2,472-3,351 square feet with 3-4 bedrooms. With four YourPlans and three lifestyle centric spaces, buyers are able to choose between 12 unique layouts at Estrella. Pricing is still being finalized.

Shea3D is an all-new, patent-pending way of building homes that provides homebuyers with a decision they’ve never had before – the opportunity to choose from a variety of interchangeable lifestyle-driven spaces within each floor plan, also known as “YourPlans™”. Shea3DTM allows customers to choose from three unique main living spaces – Outdoor-centric, Entertainment-centric, or Kitchen-centric, empowering the customer to select the one that best fits their lifestyle.

“Our company values match perfectly with the community of Estrella’s values, and that’s all about creating a flourishing environment for families,” said Ken Peterson, Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Shea Homes Arizona. “We couldn’t be more excited to be expanding our West Valley presence. The West Valley is booming in general, and we’re happy to be a part of this growing market.”

These homes are also built for optimum energy efficiency and carry the newly upgraded ENERGY STAR 3.0 rating. They have multiple distinct features from other area builders including the Environments for Living (EFL) designation, which is a two year guarantee that the home heating and cooling won’t exceed a specified energy limit. If the home goes over the guarantee, a refund of the difference is given.

Shea Homes sales up 34% in 2012

Shea Homes successfully closed out 2012 with its highest home sale numbers since 2009. Opening seven new home communities last year, Shea averaged 8 home sales per week compared to the 5 home sales per week in 2010 and 2011.

“Sales are always a good indication of a recovering housing market and we are very optimistic and excited about the trends we are seeing in Arizona,” said Ken Peterson, VP of Sales and Marketing for Shea Homes Arizona. Visitors to communities remained consistent with previous years, which can be tied to more people being eligible to buy again and low resale inventory.

In 2012, Shea Homes adopted cutting edge technologies at its sales offices, including the use of iPads, Apple TV, Apps, online Space Planners, Microsoft’s Kinect motion sensing device allowing visitors to interact with Shea Homes community content along with the launch of a virtual kitchen and bath design tool, currently debuting at Shea’s Lantana at Power Ranch community.

“We are excited about what 2013 holds, we are opening numerous new communities this year including the launch of brand new product lines reflecting the newest innovations in exterior & interior home design,” said Peterson. “It’s going to be a good year for real estate in Phoenix.”
