Fashion Week 4 Kids announces casting calls in Scottsdale

Fashion Week 4 Kids (FW4K) and Steve LeVine Entertainment & Public Relations (SLE) in partnership with FORD/Robert Black Agency have started model casting calls taking place on Saturday, August 29 at Baby Lux and Saturday, September 12 at Garage Boutique in Scottsdale.

The casting call on August 29 will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Baby Lux located at 20789 N. Pima Rd. #125, Scottsdale, AZ. The casting call on September 12 will be held from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Garage Boutique located at 7144 E Stetson Dr. Suite #100, Scottsdale, AZ. Boys and girls ages 5-13 are encouraged to audition. There is a $20 application fee for each child.

This inaugural kids fashion event is coming to the Valley this Fall for a week of activities beginning Monday, October 19 and culminating with a full day of fashion shows and children’s activities on Saturday, October 24 at Scottsdale Quarter.

Skrillex to make Māyā Day + Nightclub debut

Māyā Day + Nightclub, Steve LeVine Entertainment & Public Relations (SLE) and Disco Donnie Presents (DDP) have announced that Skrillex will perform at Māyā Day + Nightclub on Saturday, September 5 as part of the 2015 Labor Day Weekend lineup. Doors open at 12 p.m.

Sonny Moore, better known as Skrillex, is a DJ/producer with roots in dubstep and electro house. Skrillex kick-started his musical career as the lead singer of post-hardcore punk band From First to Last until 2007 when he began his solo career producing in nightclubs in Los Angeles. The My Name is Skrillex EP put him at the forefront of the dubstep scene and led to headlining performances at festivals including Electric Daisy Carnival, Ultra Music Festival and TomorrowWorld as well as collaborations with notable figures in the industry including Porter Robinson, Calvin Harris, Steve Aoki and many more.

Since skyrocketing to fame, the California native has amassed 10.9 million followers on YouTube, 5.6 million followers on SoundCloud and founded his own record label, OWSLA. Skrillex has won a total of six Grammys since 2012 for Best Dance Recording, Best Dance/Electronica Album and Best Remixed Recording, Non-Classical as well as an MTV Music Video Award for “First of the Year (Equinox).”

Skrillex teamed up with Diplo to form the duo known as Jack Ü and released their debut album, Skrillex and Diplo Present Jack Ü in 2015. The album featured a collaboration with Justin Bieber on the internationally successful single “Where Are Ü Now” which has garnered 90 million views on YouTube since the video’s initial release in June.

Steve LeVine Entertainment & Public Relations new hire

Steve LeVine Entertainment & Public Relations (SLE) has announced the addition of Jamie Killin to the public relations and marketing department.

With a bachelor’s degree in journalism and a master’s degree in mass communications, Killin graduated from Arizona State University in 2014 where she attended the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and was a member of Barrett, The Honors College. During college, Killin acted as a multimedia reporter for Cronkite News Service, maintained a position as an editorial intern with Phoenix Magazine and wrote for the Cronkite Journal.

Prior to joining Steve LeVine Entertainment & Public Relations, Killin worked for Marketingworx Public Relations and Marketing where she was an account coordinator and social media specialist.

Outside of work Killin enjoys hiking, traveling and attending live music shows. “I’ve always been a music lover so having the opportunity to work at SLE, where music is such a huge part of what we do, has been a fantastic experience,” says Killin of her new position.

Kevin Dillon to host pool party at Māyā Day + Nightclub

Kevin Dillon is widely known for his portrayal of the character Johnny Drama on the HBO hit series Entourage. His performance on the show garnered him three Emmy Award nominations, a Golden Globe Award and three Screen Actors Guild Awards. Dillon recently reprised his role as Johnny Drama in the series film adaptation. Other notable film roles Dillon has portrayed include Platoon (1986), War Party (1988) and The Doors (1991).

Mark-Taylor announces Summer of Love Series

Mark-Taylor, Steve LeVine Entertainment & Public Relations and Cox Communications have announced the 9th Annual Summer of Love pool party series beginning on Saturday, June 6 and running until Saturday, August 29. These fun, interactive, poolside events offer a great time and a chance for one lucky winner to host their very own pool party at a Mark-Taylor community.

Now in its ninth year, the Mark-Taylor Summer of Love pool party series celebrates neighborhood, a sense of community, poolside fun and friends. Each event offers residents and the general public a chance to win a personalized pool party which includes a VIP cabana, playlist curated by the winner, and a Mark-Taylor swag bag. All guests can enjoy complimentary food and beverage, music spun by a live DJ, poolside games and more. Each pool party features a raffle/giveaway benefiting local charity group UMOM New Day Centers. Fashion Week 4 Kids comes to Scottsdale Quarter

Steve LeVine Entertainment & Public Relations (SLE) is hosting the inaugural “Fashion Week 4 Kids” that is coming to the Valley this Fall with a week of activities beginning October 19 and culminating with a full day of fashion shows and children’s activities on Saturday, October 24 at Scottsdale Quarter.

“We have produced upscale fashion events in Scottsdale with some of the most established designer brands including Betsey Johnson and Ted Baker for years,” said Steve LeVine, SLE’s chief entertainment officer. “We recognized that fashion events for kids is an untapped market here in the Valley and we are excited to put Arizona on the map for a kids fashion week.”

Fashion Week 4 Kids will boast an multi-day schedule of events including fashion shows, kids and family activities, special shopping discounts, celebrity and media bashes and much more. Arizona is well known for its high-end, luxury fashion scene and for the first time children and children’s fashion designers will have the opportunity to participate in a fashion week of their own.

As the popularity of pint-sized fashionistas continues to grow, SLE will provide a highly-anticipated annual kids fashion event for the media, designers, families and even the tiniest trendsetters.

Steve LeVine Entertainment hires three

Brooke BSteve LeVine Entertainment & Public Relations (SLE) announces the addition of three new hires expanding the communications, events and graphic design departments within the agency.

The communications department, which focuses on traditional public relations and new media, hired Brooke Benavides as the public relations and new media coordinator. Benavides graduated from Grand Canyon University with a bachelor‚s degree in communications with an emphasis in public relations and Masters of Business Administration with an emphasis in marketing.

Lacey CLacey Clements will join the events department as the senior event coordinator. Clements attended the University of Maryland and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in public relations and a master’s degree in marketing.

SLE’s graphic design department, which produces all types of creative material, including custom designs for Kyle Lflyers, banners, invitations and more, hired Kyle Lescarbeau as senior graphic design coordinator. Lescarbeau graduated from the Art Institute of Phoenix with a bachelor’s degree in fine arts. He joins SLE after two years designing for the world famous hip hop dance group the Jabbawockeez.

W Scottsdale hosts 'Hair Wars – The Supreme Salon Tour'

W Scottsdale will host this year’s ‘Hair Wars – The Supreme Salon Tour’ on Sunday, October 13, presented by Windy City Media and Steve LeVine Entertainment & Public Relations (SLE). W Scottsdale is located at 7277 E. Camelback Rd. Scottsdale, Ariz. Doors will open at 5 p.m. and the event is 21 years and older.

Hair Wars is a nationally recognized salon competition where top local salons in each region have the opportunity to showcase their artistic side by featuring one-of-a-kind, extravagant, creations down the runway. The Supreme Salon Tour travels through Scottsdale, Los Angeles, Chicago, Vancouver and Calgary, Canada. The top three salons in each city move on to the World Finals in an international competition.

“Our goal is to find the best salons, stylists, makeup artists, models, accessories, costuming, fashion lines, and designers in the industry to compete in the ultimate runway competition,” says Benjamin Moline, Executive Producer. “This competition is like none other and it really lets artists use their creativity to create something spectacular, from bird cages built from hair with real birds to pirate ships; this event brings out the shock factor. It is truly the Super Bowl of hair, and the tour continues to peak interest of producers in Los Angeles.”

Local salons will bring their creative talents to the catwalk to compete for the title of “Supreme Salon” hosted by celebrity finalist, Ben Mollin, as seen on the BRAVO television show “Shear Genius.” Arizona’s top five salons will compete featuring their own theme, routine, and distinctive hairstyles that best represent their artistic abilities. Competing salons include Hair Pollution Salon, Luis A. Solis Hair Design, Miguel’s Beauty Salon featuring Juan Santos, Color Me Pretty, and Luxxi Salon.

The judges include: Angela Avorio, director of education for Ben Mollin Hair Education; Eric Rene Jimenez, renowned hair and makeup artist featured on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills and Life & Style Magazine; and AK Mack, director of education at the Toni & Guy Scottsdale Academy.

The event will begin with a pre-game show presented by the Toni & Guy Scottsdale Academy themed in black and white.

Māyā Day + Nightclub Announces Above & Beyond to Perform Labor Day Weekend

Māyā Day + Nightclub, Steve LeVine Entertainment & Public Relations and Disco Donnie Presents (DDP) add Above &Beyond to their star-studded lineup at Māyā Day + Nightclub on Saturday, August 31.

The three members of Above & Beyond came together not as DJs, but as producers and songwriters and refer to themselves as “a band first and foremost.” The first two members of the group, Jono Grant and Paavo Siljamäki, met at the University of Westminster while studying electronic engineering. The pair discovered their shared interest in electronic music and began their label, Anjunabeats, in 2000 with the first single “Volume One” released shortly after. Final member Tony McGuinness joined the group in 2000 after he enlisted them to help complete a remix for his own label.

Since their formation, Above & Beyond has released an expansive and critically acclaimed discography and earned many accolades along the way. After remixing tracks from artists as diverse as Madonna, Britney Spears and Delerium, the trio released their first full-length album, “Tri-State,” in 2006, which was given a 5-star rating and described as “brilliant” by DJ Mag. The album’s single, “Air For Life,” was voted as “Best Underground Dance Track of the Year” and “Tune of the Year” by the Winter Music Conference (WMC). Their second full-length release, “Group Therapy,” was released in 2011 and quickly jumped to the top of the iTunes Dance chart.
