Shea Homes reports increase in new home sales

New home sales are on the rise. During the first three months of this year, Shea Homes reports sales of 151 new homes, compared with 58 new homes sold during the same time period last year, a 160 percent increase.

“We’re extremely pleased with the surge in new home sales,” said Ken Peterson, VP of Sales and Marketing for Shea Homes. “Our three new communities in the West Valley, Desert Intrigue and Desert Ambition, have been extremely popular, as has the third phase of homes at Vista Montana.”

The top five Shea Homes communities by sales volume in Q1 2015 are Inspire at Greer Ranch (Surprise), Intrigue at Greer Ranch (Surprise), Ridgeview at Johnson Ranch (San Tan Valley), Evolve at Marbella Vineyards (Gilbert) and Retreat at The Bridges (Gilbert).

“We’re seeing great demand on both ends of the spectrum, with sales volume up for our entry level homes as well as our luxury homes. This is all good news as it relates to the comeback of the Phoenix housing market,” said Peterson. Shea Homes’ sales increase reflects the upward trends in both the local and national housing market.

One popular product driving Shea Homes sales is Shea3D ™, the home builder’s all new, patent-pending way of building homes that provides home buyers with the opportunity to choose from interchangeable lifestyle-driven spaces. Customers are able to select interior centric spaces based on the way they live. More information is available at www.SheaHomes.com/3D.

Shea Homes opens 3rd Vista Montana community

Shea Homes Arizona has found much success in the Northwest Valley for its luxury home product and recently opened the third installment of its popular community, Vista Montaña, a gated community located south of Happy Valley Road at 77th Ave. in Peoria.

Vista Montaña III is an expansion of the Vista Montaña II community, which opened in March of 2014 and is near selling out. Vista Montaña III has 38, with average lot sizes of 3/4 acre plus with detached RV and non-RV garages, basement options, guest casitas, pool cabanas and more. There are six floor plans, ranging between 3,091 to over 4,869 square feet and prices start from the $514,990’s. The homes are built using the new Energy Star 3.0 rating, carry the Environments for Living designation and have solar options available. Included features are spacious bedrooms, various flexible spaces for a “custom” feel, large kitchens with expansive islands and oversized 3-car attached garages.

The new models feature enhanced kitchen and master bathrooms from the original Vista Montaña community and are representative of what homebuyers in the market are looking for.  All floorplans now come with an optimized kitchen that includes self-close dovetailed drawers and pullouts, upgraded appliances, a built in spice rack and Lazy Susan. The master bathrooms have been upgraded with the addition of a mega shower, which increases resale value. Buyers also now have the option of multiple detached garage options with extras that can be customized into a dorm room, guest casita, hobby space or garage workshop with bathroom, or storage loft.

“In light of how popular our Vista Montaña communities have been; it only made sense to add a third community of these luxury homes,” said Shea Homes Arizona Vice President of Sales and Marketing Ken Peterson. “The continued interest in housing in the Northwest Valley is really exciting for us at Shea Homes. We hope to continue building more and more communities there.”

Shea Homes partners with Sunrun

Shea Homes is proud to announce a partnership with Sunrun, the nation’s largest home solar company, to help homeowners go solar without the high cost and hassle of owning and maintaining a solar system.

Through this partnership, homeowners can opt to have affordable solar preinstalled on their new homes.  The solar is lower in cost than typical solar installations because Sunrun owns, maintains and insures the systems.  Homeowners pay a low amount upfront for the solar power, taking control of their electric bills for 20 years.  Sunrun works with top local installation company American Solar to design and install the systems.

“Offering solar is in alignment with our overall goal to continually build homes that are highly energy efficient for our customers,” said Ken Peterson, VP of Sales and Marketing for Shea Homes. “Having this partnership with Sunrun is an added benefit to provide solar solutions to our customers which will ultimately reduce the monthly investment of operating their homes.”

“Sunrun invented solar service so that homeowners don’t have to choose between the planet and their wallets, and now it’s becoming a standard option for new homes,” said Sunrun Co-CEO Lynn Jurich.  “As solar adoption continues to grow, solar will be as common a consideration as countertop finish or flooring material.”

The Sunrun solar power service program will be available at Vista Montaña, Ridgeview and Hideaway at Johnson Ranch, Lantana at Power Ranch and SPACES at Evans Ranch. Homeowners can choose between three different system sizes, and systems will be custom-designed according to the square footage and orientation of the home.
