Kickoff the New Year with Fiesta Bowl parties and New Year’s celebrations at the Westgate Entertainment District, where there is fun for everyone from the kids to the adults.
On Thursday, Dec. 31, let the kids spend the day at the first ever Arizona Coyotes Youth Mobile Tour on New “Yotes” Eve starting at 5 p.m., at Fountain Park. The event starts just before the Coyotes face off against the Winnipeg Jets.
The free event involves immersive technology, and hands-on hockey skills stations. The event offers Temporary Coyotes tattoos, hair chalk and face paint for the kids as well as an interactive draft experience where the young ones can get their picture taken for a draft card.
There is also a virtual slap shot experience where kids can take a shot against an NHL goalie, and more.
For the adults, Westgate bars and restaurants will open as early as 7 a.m. on New Year’s Day for Fiesta Bowl fans who are looking to enjoy food and drink while they cheer on the Ohio State Buckeyes or the Notre Dame Fighting Irish.
Make sure to stick around after the Fiesta Bowl as there will be a live band, The Instant Classics, and interactive games to enjoy.
Game-day parking at the Westgate lots will open at 6 a.m., charging $20 per vehicle. Plan to enter from the north off Glendale Avenue from 95th or 93rd Avenue.

Salt will represent the “Saints” and Whiskey Rose will represent the “Sinners.” Enjoy a DJ spinning at both locations and a complimentary champagne toast at midnight.
