One of the Valley’s premier entertainment districts known for nightlife, restaurants, shops, sporting events, concerts and offices will now add one more offering to the mix – luxury residential living, in the heart of all the action.
Beginning in January, Westgate Entertainment District will welcome its first residents when 76 loft-style apartments open within the district. iStar, owner of Westgate, has started construction on the apartments located on the third and fourth floors of the four-story building above Bar Louie, Kabuki Japanese Restaurant and the recently opened Tavern + Bowl.
The Lofts at Westgate will offer one- and two-bedroom residences ranging in size from 646 to 1,479 square feet with high-ceiling loft design, contemporary designer finishes and high-end features. Residents will have access to a private clubhouse with a sports bar feel, fitness center and yoga room, private underground parking and an outdoor terrace overlooking all of the activities of the district.
“The Lofts at Westgate are an exciting evolution of Westgate Entertainment District and unlike any residential offering in the Valley with some of the most stunning views,” said David Sotolov, executive vice president and head of west coast investments for iStar. “Residents will have the ability to walk out their front door and have direct access to more than 20 restaurants and bars, a 20-screen AMC Theatre, 250 days of events, professional sporting events, world-class concerts and free live music every Friday and Saturday night. The 100-store Tanger Outlets Westgate is also within walking distance. By adding these full-time residences, Westgate has truly become a city within a city.”
An interest list is now forming and leasing is expected to begin in the fall for occupancy in January. iStar has hired Alliance Residential to handle the leasing and Wespac Communities as the contractor to build the community.
