Banner Health continues its transformation to become more consumer focused with the opening of three new retail-based health clinics in August. The Banner Quick Care clinics will be located in Safeway grocery stores in Chandler, Tempe and Tucson.

The Chandler and Tempe locations will open on Aug. 1, and the Tucson location on Aug. 9.

“Banner Quick Care will further the organization’s presence in the ‘on-demand’ health care space, offering accessible and consumer-focused services designed to make health care easier,” said Banner Urgent Care CEO Rob Rohatsch, MD.

The retail clinics will allow walk-in consumers of all ages to receive an array of health care services seven days per week. This includes treatment for allergic reactions, common colds, cough, earaches, physical exams, pinkeye, stomach aches, strep throat, urinary tract infections, and similar medical needs. The clinics will also offer vaccinations.

Unlike Banner Urgent Care, Banner Quick Care will not offer labs or imaging services, and are not equipped to handle other urgent health care needs such as broken bones or serious cuts.

Banner Quick Care will be located inside the Safeway store locations at 926 E. Broadway Road in Tempe; 4970 E. Alma School Road in Chandler; and 1940 E. Broadway Blvd. in Tucson.

“In addition to receiving health care in a convenient neighborhood setting, consumers may find their co-pays are even lower than an urgent care visit depending on their specific health insurance coverage,” said Rohatsch.
