Becky Kuhn, Banner Health’s executive vice president for community delivery, will be recognized by the Arizona State University College of Nursing & Health Innovation (CONHI) at the eighth annual “Dream, Discover, Deliver” event on Oct. 22 at the Sheraton Phoenix Downtown Hotel.

The event honors outstanding leaders and organizations that have made significant contributions to the college and its mission to positively impact the health of Arizona’s communities.  Kuhn will be recognized with the 2015 ASU College of Nursing & Health Innovation Alumni Achievement Award.

Kuhn, an alumnus of ASU’s nationally-renowned nursing program, currently serves as Phoenix-based Banner Health’s executive VP for community delivery. In this role, Kuhn is responsible for oversight of community hospitals, medical centers and operating units including Banner Medical Group, Banner Pharmacy Services, Banner Home Care, Banner Hospice, Banner Ambulatory Surgery, and Patient Experience. She also leads delivery integration efforts, operating efficiency and building customer loyalty.

At the Dream, Discover and Deliver event, Kuhn will be recognized for her “outstanding contributions to health care and to the advancement of CONHI students, faculty and staff.”

“I’m humbled and honored to accept this award from Arizona State University and the College of Nursing & Health Innovation,” said Kuhn, who also holds a master’s degree in nursing from the University of Arizona. “I started my career in nursing and feel a great debt of gratitude to these experiences as they continue to shape my personal and professional journey.”

Kuhn’s career has spanned roles in nursing, senior administration, and executive leadership. Prior to assuming the role of executive vice president, she served as President of Banner’s Arizona East Division following a stint as  CEO of Banner Del E. Webb Medical Center in Sun City West, a 400-bed facility with a broad range of clinical services including inpatient rehab and behavioral health. Previously, Kuhn served as CEO of Banner Gateway Medical Center, a 176-bed state-of-the-art facility that opened in 2007 in Gilbert. While leading the operational preparation for Banner Gateway, she also served as CEO of the former Banner Mesa Medical Center, which was re-purposed into Banner Simulation Medical Center in 2009.
