Architecture and engineering firm, CSHQA, with offices in six western states, including Arizona, Colorado, and Idaho, has acquired the Arizona-based Education Design Studio of NTD Architecture.
Architects, Scott Beck, Michael Harris, Alan Scott, and Keith Wong, and team members, Linda Perry and Patty York have joined CSHQA in their respective Phoenix and Tucson offices. The CSHQA Phoenix office is expanding and a new CSHQA office will be established in Tucson at the previous NTD location. Design projects are underway with Thatcher Unified School District, Whiteriver Unified School District, Pima Community College District, and Northern Arizona University.
Scott Beck, AIA, REFP, has focused his 30-year career on the design of schools that integrate the value of learning with a sense of community. He is one of a handful of Arizona professionals to become a Recognized Education Facility Planner (REFP) from the Council of Educational Facility Planners International and will be the Managing Architect for the Arizona Education Studio. Keith Wong, AIA, LEED AP, has over 20 years of experience specializing in educational projects in Arizona and Washington.
Also with 30 years of design experience in Arizona, Michael Harris, RA, NCARB, has specialized in educational institutions from pre-school through the University level with special emphasis on performance and classroom venues. Alan Scott, AIA has over 25 years of experience in institutional and municipal projects in Arizona including educational, professional, medical, religious and recreational occupancies. Lifelong Tucson residents and UA graduates, Harris’ and Scott’s knowledge of the campus fabric is unmatched.
