3. Take Down Your Walls
One thing that’s bad for your feng shui, especially when it comes to your desk?
Having it face the wall, or placing your back to the door, is not a powerful position for productivity. When your back is to the door, you’re placing yourself in a vulnerable position. And facing a wall is just unpleasant.

Live in a home where you can do as you please? Consider even knocking down a wall, inviting more space for creativity into the house.
4. The Art of a Clean Bathroom
A cluttered, dirty bathroom isn’t good for our physical or mental health. No one likes the sight of mold or unsightly hair. And neglecting to clean it is one major no-no on the Feng Shui checklist.
A clean bathroom improves safety (bye, slick surfaces!) and immune health while lowering germ spreading. Plus there’s the added benefit of not having to stress over another room to clean.
Keep your toilet lid closed—and if your bathroom faces a major room, keep the door closed.
