The Southern Arizona Home Builders Association (SAHBA)’s Annual Home Show is back at the Tucson Convention Center October 6-8, featuring nationally recognized “Two Chicks and a Hammer”— Karen Laine and Mina Starsiak, hosts of HGTV’s Good Bones.

The dynamic mother-daughter team, whose renovation business is known as “Two Chicks and a Hammer,” have been remodeling homes since 2007 and have been the popular hosts of HGTV’s successful Good Bones series, now in production for its third season. The show follows Karen and Mina as they renovate homes in forgotten Indianapolis neighborhoods in a quest to revitalize them, one home at a time.

Members of the public will have a chance to listen to Karen, a former attorney, and her real-estate developer daughter Mina discuss their no-nonsense and quirky approach to home renovation, from setting realistic expectations to proper budgeting and how to have fun along the way. They are firm believers that “every tragic house deserves a second chance, because underneath all that mess, you might find really good bones.”

The SAHBA Home Show event takes place at the Tucson Convention Center, located at 260 S. Church Avenue, will features cutting-edge ideas for your home and garden, innovative Do-it-Yourself products, home security, expert advice, and savings on hundreds of products and services.  In addition, the show will include a variety of family-friendly activities.
