The 31st annual Chandler Chamber Ostrich Festival announces the 2019 lineup of attractions and rides for the three-day festival taking place at Tumbleweed Park in Chandler March 8-10.
The festival is introducing a new educational component surrounding its namesake mascot. Attendees will get an up-close look at live ostriches with an exhibit highlighting facts about the birds, their history in Chandler and fun photo opportunities.
“The festival will provide guests with a space to celebrate these beautiful birds and the City of Chandler,” said Terri Kimble, President/CEO of the Chandler Chamber of Commerce. “The growth we have seen in our community has been tremendous and we are excited to celebrate everything from our rich history to the high-tech community we are today.”
The Ostrich Festival will also feature new attractions like Big Bee the Transforming Robot Car, Big Bounce America, BMX Pro Tricks Show and Victoria Circus.

Kids and adults alike will be delighted as they see Big Bee transform into a 15-foot robot, complete with soundtrack
Big Bounce America
Guinness World Record-holder Big Bounce America is the world’s largest bounce house with more than 10,000 square feet of bouncing and interactive fun. The attraction includes obstacle courses, climbing frames, giant slides, basketball hoops, ball pits and even a DJ. Tickets to Big Bounce America will be available for purchase online prior to the event. Tickets will also be available on-site during festival hours. Ticket prices and on sale to be announced at a later date.
BMX Pros Trick Show
The BMX Pros Trick Team tours the nation performing at fairs, festivals and professional sports team halftime shows. Attendees of all ages will get a thrill as BMX riders and skateboarders execute stunts on a street ramp and halfpipe.
On your bark, get set, GO! The FIDO 500 Mini Dog Races feature talented canines racing Olympic-style in a sprint to the finish line for gold, silver, and bronze.
Victoria Circus is a high-energy circus and thrill show featuring the Globe of Death and high wire stunts. In addition to the show’s thrill elements, Victoria Circus offers interactive ground acts.
These attractions join returning festival mainstays Mango and Dango, Pangaea Land of the Dinosaurs Adventure Land with free fossil digs and Dinosaur meet and greets, the Imaginology STEM Tent featuring interactive STEM-based activities for kids ages 3-12, Pig Races, Professor Smart’s Science Show and Bear Hollow.
Fan favorite amusement ride the “Turbo,” will return to the festival’s ride lineup. On Turbo, riders are taken for a 70 mph spin at the end of a whirling arm that swings them 120 feet in the air and sends them hurtling toward Earth in an arc generating forces three times the pull of gravity. The ride also features upside down and free flipping action.
Other rides include festival favorites like the Giant Ferris Wheel, the Century Wheel, Vertigo, Inversion, 1001 Nachts, Quazar, Pole Position Coaster, Wave Swinger, Giant Scooter and Scrambler, among many others. The festival will also feature kiddie and family rides, including the Frog Hopper, Tom Kangaroo, Chopper Hopper, Lolli Swing, Wacky Worm Coaster, Looney Tooter Train and many more.
