Seeking a way for its employees to unite in giving to the community in creative and meaningful ways, LAVIDGE, a Phoenix-based unified agency offering advertising, public relations and digital marketing services, has developed its own employee volunteer program, IMPACT.

IMPACT’s mission is to support select nonprofits focused on children-in-need, and the health and well-being of animals and pets, through innovative volunteer opportunities, charitable contributions and partnerships. LAVIDGE will host events every month for its employees.

“We’re excited to launch our volunteer program to drive employee engagement opportunities that we hope will truly make a difference,” Sandra Torre, LAVIDGE Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer said. “We’re excited to work as a team and give back to the community that has been our home for 37 years – as a reflection on what it means to be a part of LAVIDGE.”

IMPACT’s Inaugural Event

Thirty LAVIDGIANS attended the debut IMPACT event held in Mesa at Feed My Starving Children, a non-profit that provides nutritionally complete meals specifically formulated for malnourished children. LAVIDGE employees dedicated working hours to packing meals by hand for children in various parts of the world.

Studies have shown that giving back is associated with greater employee retention, higher levels of brand ambassadorship on the part of the workers and more enthusiastic employees. Employees who see their organizations give back to the community are 13 times more likely to look forward to coming to work, compared to employees who do not perceive their employers to be generous to the community.
