The LGE team served triple-duty as the developer, architect and general contractor for the new $2.7 million headquarters for Milam Glass, a family-owned-and-operated provider of premium-quality commercial glass for storefronts, schools, resorts and other business entities.

LGE Design Build first broke ground on the project located at 132nd Avenue and Dysart Road in Surprise in April of 2017, applying the finishing touches on it last month. The 20,129-square-foot part-production facility, part- “forever home” serves as a standing advertisement for Milam Glass and its products, thanks to an impressive, floor-to-ceiling glass exterior façade and numerous head-turning glass touches throughout.

“Anyone wondering about the quality of Milam’s work need look no further than at its own home base,” said President and Chief Executive Officer of LGE Design Build David Sellers. “We knew creating something representative of the quality work Milam produces everyday was a tall order, but we’re thrilled with the final product, and we’re honored to have played a role in such a significant addition to the Surprise landscape.”

An industry leader for more than 50 years, Milam Glass has continued to carve out a name for itself in commercial building, thanks in large part to the uncompromising quality of its products and the unwavering dedication of its growing team.

“We wanted to give ourselves a home where we could continue to grow and develop, and joining forces with LGE along the way was an easy call,” said Ernest Nevarez, Milam’s director of human resources and business development. “We were already familiar with the LGE team’s impressive body of work, and we had no doubt they’d deliver everything we wanted and more.”
