LGE Design Build broke ground on HQ2 today, its new headquarters. Embarking on the next chapter in the firm’s 25-year history, the building celebrates tremendous growth and expanding business opportunities — both locally and nationally.

The $4 million project, designed by LGE Principal Architect Ben McRae, will feature mid-century modern design that uses the same building systems as LGE client projects. Blended with a state-of-the-art interior that features a warm, industrial aesthetic in an open floor plan concept, the single-story, 22,000 square-foot building will be located at 1200 N. 52nd St. The project is to be complete in the second quarter of 2019.

“Creating the new headquarters for LGE has allowed me to demonstrate the full-scope design-build capacity of our firm,” stated McRae. “Once complete, HQ2 will be a testament to our capabilities and serve as a leading example of the benefits of our design-build model.”

In the last 18 months, LGE’s staff has grown by nearly 50 percent. The new space will allow the design-build firm to continue to grow, bringing more jobs in the industry to the Valley.

“The groundbreaking for HQ2 is a turning point for our firm,” said LGE CEO David Sellers. “The same passion our team infuses into each client project was captured in the collaborative design of our new office, making the entire process truly rewarding.”

“As one of the premier design builders, we continue to create a culture that not only attracts team members, but also creates one of the most desired places to work,” said LGE President Wayne Bell. “HQ2 will become the home that the LGE family will continue to flourish within.”
