Ford Free Days are back at Waste Management Phoenix Open

Thanks to Ford, the Official Vehicle of the Waste Management Phoenix Open Presented by The Ak-Chin Indian Community, all fans will be admitted free of charge on Monday, Jan. 28 and Tuesday, Jan. 29 to the Waste Management Phoenix Open as part of “Ford Free Days” courtesy of your Arizona Ford Dealers.

As part of the renewed partnership, the second-annual closest-to-the-pin contest called “FORD Drive for Your Ride” will be held on the iconic 16th hole, giving players a chance to win a new Ford Edge ST and to give a new Ford Edge ST to one of ten local non-profit organizations.

“This marks the fourth consecutive year our event and Ford have teamed up to offer free admission to all of our fans,” said Tournament Chairman Chance Cozby. “Ford has been an outstanding partner. We’re thrilled to offer Ford Free Days once again, but even more so to share a common commitment to our local communities.”

Monday’s schedule includes practice rounds by PGA TOUR players and the Kadima.Ventures Pro-Am, while Tuesday will include practice rounds, the R.S. Hoyt Jr. Family Foundation Dream Day, the popular San Tan Ford Special Olympics Open and the PGA TOUR Wives Classic.

Beyond Ford Free Days, the Arizona Ford Dealers will also be holding the first annual #BestNightEver experience in conjunction with KMLE 107.9 at the Coors Light Birds Nest. Starting now, fans can register for the chance to win a pair of Midland and Old Dominion concert tickets at each of the 13 participating Phoenix Metro Ford Stores. Then on Wednesday, January 30, one of the 13 lucky finalists will receive a concert experience upgrade to the #BestNightEver. The winner and their guest will receive exclusive access to the concert and artists in the form of upgraded PIT tickets, backstage access, food and beverage, as well a personal concierge for the evening.

As the Official Vehicle of the Waste Management Phoenix Open, Arizona Ford dealers will be providing more than 150 courtesy vehicles during tournament week to transport PGA TOUR players, tournament officials and Waste Management Phoenix Open staff. Those vehicles, primarily 2018 F-150, 2018 Explorers, and 2018 Expeditions will go up for sale at the Phoenix metro Ford Dealerships following the tournament.

The 2019 Waste Management Phoenix Open Presented by The Ak-Chin Indian Community will be held at TPC Scottsdale January 28 – February 3, 2019. “The People’s Open” was recently tabbed the 2018 Tournament of Year by the PGA TOUR, is the best-attended golf tournament in the world and has gained legendary status for being the most unique events in golf. The 2019 edition will mark the 84th playing of the event (one of the five oldest events on the PGA TOUR) and the 10th as the Waste Management Phoenix Open. 

The Thunderbirds were founded in 1937 with the mission of promoting the Valley of the Sun through sports.
