ISM Raceway and USAA have partnered to honor Heroes in Arizona each month through their Hats Off to Heroes program. For the month of November and prior to the Can-Am 500 on Sunday, USAA and ISM Raceway will honor a Valley Hero Corey Patton during pre-race ceremonies and Patton will serve as Honorary Race Official. 

Patton, an Infantry Fire Team Leader with the AZ National Guard, enlisted in the United States Army at age 19 as an Infantryman. Patton served from 2008 through 2017 with multiple deployments overseas. Today, Patton works in the finance industry with USAA.

The Hats Off to Heroes program will continue each month with ISM Raceway and USAA honoring a different veteran every month through social media and gift packages.

WWE superstar Matt Hardy will be pace car driver

This Sunday, November 11, WWE Superstar Matt Hardy will lead the field to the green flag in the Toyota Camry Official Pace Car as the Honorary Pace Car Driver for the start of the Can-Am 500. The race will take place on the final day of ISM Raceway’s Opening Weekend celebration.

“Being part of Opening Weekend for the new ISM Raceway is such an exciting experience, and I’m honored to race around the track with some of the best in the sport to kick off the Can-Am 500,” said WWE Superstar Matt Hardy.

Matt Hardy, a multi-time WWE Tag Team Champion revolutionized the tag team division with his brother Jeff as the well-known Hardy Boyz. Hardy will be on hand in support of Royal Rumble® which will take place Sunday, January 27, 2019 at Chase Field in Phoenix.  More than just a one-day event, Royal Rumble is a week-long celebration that also includes three spectacular live events with NXT® TakeOver, Monday Night Raw® and SmackDown Live® taking place at Talking Stick Resort Arena.  In addition, Royal Rumble Week will also feature Royal Rumble Axxess, WWE’s interactive fan festival at the Phoenix Convention Center from Friday, January 25 – Sunday, January 27, as well as local community outreach programs, including Be a STAR bullying prevention rallies and hospital visits designed to leave a lasting impact throughout the region.

ISM Raceway names American Medical Response as official medical transportation provider

ISM Raceway announced that it has enlisted longtime medical services provider American Medical Response (AMR) as the Official Medical Transportation Provider for the Raceway. As part of the multi-year agreement, the infield care center at ISM Raceway will also officially become the AMR Care Center. The new AMR Care Center was unveiled during a special ceremony earlier today, leading into ISM Raceway’s Opening Weekend and the Can-Am 500 Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series semifinal playoff race on Sunday, November 11.“AMR has provided excellent care to NASCAR teams and race fans for several years here at ISM Raceway,” said Julie Giese, President of ISM Raceway. “We’re excited to elevate their presence with this partnership and to open the beautiful new AMR Care Center ahead of our Opening Weekend celebration.”

Beginning this weekend, AMR will be the exclusive healthcare provider of ISM Raceway, which includes providing medical equipment and personnel for all events, managing the Care Center operations and providing ambulances to handle emergency situations. 

“The new ISM Raceway is truly an amazing facility,” said Glenn Kasprzyk, AMR Arizona Chief Operating Officer. “We’re thrilled to be part of it and excited to continue the partnership for many years to come. Providing healthcare services to the fans and employees at the raceway is our privilege.”  

Grandstand seats are sold out for Can-Am 500

ISM Raceway announced that grandstand seats are sold out for the Can-Am 500 Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series semifinal playoff race on Sunday, Nov. 11. The grandstand sell-out follows the earlier sellouts of all 54 hospitality suites for the Can-Am 500 and all reserved camping for the entire weekend.

“We’re thrilled that NASCAR fans have chosen the new ISM Raceway and the Can-Am 500 as a must-see event,” said Julie Giese, President of ISM Raceway. “This is an exciting time for us as we unveil the recently completed $178 million modernization project and we can’t wait to showcase it to a full house during Sunday’s semifinal race.”

Race fans wishing to attend the Can-Am 500 can still purchase standing room only tickets for the event. Standing room only tickets include admission into the gates as well as access into the all-new INfield, allowing unparalleled access to Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series garages, Gatorade Victory Lane, driver appearances, O’Reilly Auto Parts Pre-Race Party and exclusive INfield food and beverage options.
