Maracay Homes will celebrate the grand opening of The Vista at Granite Crossing on Saturday, Feb. 3. The much-anticipated 37-home enclave in east Mesa is garnering excitement for it prime location near the edge of the Superstition Mountains, and for its commitment to innovative and sustainable design.

Every home at The Vista at Granite Crossing will be registered with the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC), a third-party rating system that verifies compliance across several areas addressing sustainability, with the goal of earning the LEED® Certified designation. Designed to use 30–50 percent less energy than typical homes, each home will meet the EPA’s Indoor airPLUS specifications, and will feature water-efficient fixtures, LED lighting, energy-efficient heating and cooling systems, Energy Star® appliances, tankless water heaters and Wi-Fi enabled, programmable thermostats.

“The completion of The Vista at Granite Crossing further cements Maracay Homes as Arizona’s leading, large-scale green homebuilder,” said Maracay Homes President Andy Warren. “If you look at the numbers for just the past year, we have brought to market more than 300 homes in the Valley that will meet the USGBC’s strict guidelines for the LEED Certified designation. No other large builder in Arizona is doing what we’re doing at this level, and that’s exciting.”

The grand opening event will include a neighborhood gathering from 12–3 p.m., featuring a barbecue lunch and refreshments. Potential homebuyers are encouraged to attend the event, where they will have a chance to meet Maracay’s New Home Advisors, tour the new, beautifully-appointed model home and RV garage, and learn more about the neighborhood.

Situated near the Superstition Mountains, at 101st Place and Brown Road, the new community sits in the seam of big-city life and rural charm, offering residents the best of both worlds. Built for outdoor enthusiasts and weekend warriors alike, The Vista at Granite Crossing offers oversized home sites featuring extra space for RVs, boats and other outdoor toys, which can be stored in the available detached or attached accessory garages.

Five floorplans, ranging in size from 2,685 to 4,363 square feet, will be offered in one- and two-story models that will provide plenty of room to accommodate a wide variety of living situations and lifestyles. In addition to the sustainable features that are available, residents will also enjoy a variety of plans that offer spacious great rooms, frameless walk-in showers in the master bathrooms, elements that embrace indoor-outdoor living and much more. Maracay’s The Vista at Granite Crossing will also offer FlexDesign® options tailored to meet each family’s individual needs, such as box-bay windows in the master bedrooms, generation suites and more.

All homes are Energy Star® certified and registered with the certification goal of LEED Certified® standards from the USBGC. The homes also include Maracay Homes’ Living Smart® program for high performance and energy efficiency.
