David Genovese, Avison Young Principal and Managing Director of the company’s Phoenix office, announced today the strategic hiring of corporate services specialist Mark Seale.

Effective immediately, Seale becomes a Principal of Avison Young and director of brokerage services in Phoenix. He will continue to focus on tenant representation, while also working with Genovese to recruit and mentor top real estate talent, and oversee local brokerage operations. In this role, he will also help develop a core strategy to position Avison Young as the leader in all commercial real estate property types and business lines in Arizona.

Seale brings 32 years of commercial real estate industry experience to Avison Young, most recently as managing director at Cushman & Wakefield in Phoenix. During his career, he has advised many of North America’s largest occupiers and institutional owners of commercial real estate. Notable clients have included: AETNA, Hartford Insurance, Liberty Mutual, UPS, Blackrock Realty Advisors, IHeart Media, Voya, Dial Corporation, Ingram Micro, TIAA-CREF, GE Capital and UBS Realty Investors as well as the Arizona State University Foundation, K. Hovnanian Homes, Southwest Service Administrators and several Phoenix-area law firms. 

In addition to acting for tenants, he has represented several large landlords and developers in significant office leasing transactions. He has also held management, senior executive and broker positions with Lee & Associates, CB Richard Ellis and Trammel Crow Company. A consistent top producer, Seale has garnered numerous commercial real estate industry awards during his career, including Top 100, Top Team and Top 10 Producer awards on numerous occasions.

Seale is active in the industry as a Certified Commercial Investment Member and member of the Society of Industrial and Office Real Estate (SIOR) and NAIOP. In the community, he has served on the executive council of the Arizona chapter of Boys & Girls Clubs and the Phoenix-area Board of Aid to Adoption of Special Kids. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in finance from Arizona State University.

Over the past nine years, Avison Young has grown from 11 to 80 offices and from 300 to more than 2,400 real estate professionals in Canada, the U.S., Mexico and Europe.
