Grant Kingdon Joins Lee & Associates Arizona

Lee & Associates Arizona welcomes Associate Grant Kingdon, who will specialize in the representation of landlords and tenants in the leasing and sales of industrial/flex properties and land in the Metropolitan Phoenix real estate market.

Kingdon is an active member of NAIOP’s Developing Leaders Program and an Arizona Board of Regents Academic Scholar. He graduated from Arizona State University’s W. P. Carey School of Business with a Bachelor of Science in Marketing and a Business Minor in Real Estate Studies.

Susan P. Segal elected to Gust Rosenfeld executive committee

Gust Rosenfeld announced that Susan P. Segal has been elected to its Executive Committee.

Susan, who has been with the firm since 2011, has lead the firm’s Client Committee for the past five years. She focuses her practice in the areas of public law and employment law. Susan is a recognized expert in procurement law and advises both public entities and private sector clients on a broad range of legal issues and challenges.

Prior to joining Gust Rosenfeld, Susan was Division Chief in the Public Advocacy Section of the Arizona Attorney General’s office. She also served as Section Chief in the Education and Health Section. She has advised state regulatory boards, including the Arizona State Board of Education and has been in-house counsel to a large public school district.

Susan was formerly a member of the Arizona Attorney General Open Meeting Law Enforcement Team and the Opinion Review Committee. She also has extensive experience in advising and representing employers in the private sector on employment matters.

Circle the City adds Andrew Stewart

Andrew Stewart recently joined Circle the City in a newly created role as Chief Operating Officer, bringing nearly 20 years of development and management experience in the healthcare and business industries to the organization.

Stewart is responsible for providing strategic planning and making sure the day-to-day operations of the organization run smoothly. His management role will support Circle the City’s mission of providing high quality, holistic healthcare to men, women, and children facing homelessness in Maricopa County, as he monitors the execution of the nonprofit’s plans at the department level. He’ll work with individual department heads to ensure their work stays on track to meet Circle the City’s goals of continuing to expand its services in providing compassionate healthcare to the homeless.

Washington Federal promotes Rick Cruz to branch manager

Rick Cruz has been promoted to branch manager for Washington Federal’s  Superstition Springs branch, which is located at 6835 E. Baseline Road in Mesa. Cruz’s new role will focus on creating a client-focused and employee-friendly environment that fosters communication and teamwork; promoting branch deposit growth through proactive sales of deposit products and participation in sales and retention campaigns; and ensuring Washington Federal is engaged with the local Southeast Valley community.

A member of the Washington Federal team since 2013, most recently as assistant branch manager, Cruz was recently honored by the bank with its 2017 President’s Award and is an active member of the organization’s Save at School community outreach platform. Through Save at School, Cruz is currently working with Liberty Arts Academy in Mesa to provide free financial literacy programming for children at the school. He also volunteers with his team at the United Way Food Bank and is a member of the Arizona Hispanic Chamber of Commerce. Prior to joining Washington Federal, he worked as a personal banker in Tucson, Ariz. for several years.

Cruz lives in Mesa with his wife Briana, two young children Camila and Roman, and their family dog, Ralph.
