Scottsdale’s Radix Law adds new associate attorney

Stephanie Webb has joined Radix Law as an associate attorney. Her practice focuses on complex commercial litigation and bankruptcy law. Her experience includes multiple jury trials, as well as bench trials and motion practice in Superior Court, Federal Court and Bankruptcy Court.

Prior to this role, Webb was an attorney with the law firm of Hammerman & Hultgren, P.C. in Phoenix.  Before entering private practice she served as a judicial law clerk to Honorable G. Michael Halfenger and Honorable James E. Shapiro of the Eastern District of Wisconsin Bankruptcy Court.

Spencer Fane welcomes Steven Laureanti and David Banko

Spencer Fane LLP has added partner Steven Laureanti and associate David Banko to the firm’s Phoenix office. The addition of Laureanti and Banko brings new depth to the firm’s intellectual property practice, and continues a strong growth trend that has included six new attorneys in Phoenix and seventy-one new arrivals firm-wide since December 2016.

Both attorneys are well-versed in complex patent, copyright and trademark issues. Laureanti focuses on patent law, international intellectual property, technology licensing, trade dress, trade secrets, patent litigation consultation, trademarks, and copyrights. He has worked closely with many individuals and companies in the entertainment and sports industries. Banko regularly assists clients in all areas of intellectual property development and protection, including patent, trademark and copyright procurement, registration and defense.

Danielle Puente promoted to CFO at DP Electric

DP Electric Inc. (DPE) announced that Danielle Puente has been promoted from Controller to Chief Financial Officer. Danielle has been with DP Electric for 3 years, has successfully managed company revenue of more than $65m and has supported DP Electric’s steady growth as one of Arizona’s top electrical contractors.

Danielle has a background in public accounting and is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA). She is versed in all areas of accounting and works closely with Human Resources, Operations and Safety to reduce risk while maximizing value.

2 attorneys join Rusing Lopez & Lizardi

Rusing Lopez & Lizardi has added two associates to its firm bringing in expertise in civil and commercial litigation.

Robert S. Pearson is a civil/commercial litigator and Tucson native. He’s a graduate of Salpointe Catholic High School, the University of Arizona, and the UA College of Law. Before law school, Pearson reviewed mergers and acquisitions as an honors paralegal with the DOJ Antitrust Division. While in law school, Pearson served as a judicial extern for U.S. Magistrate Judge Charles R. Pyle. He also clerked in an appellate unit of the U.S. Public Defender’s Office for the District of Arizona, and was summer associate at a large private firm. He currently serves on the boards of directors for the Pima County Bar Association and Aviva Children’s Services, as well as on the editorial board of the PCBA’s The Writ.  

Ricardo Robinson Bours worked as a law clerk for two years at Rusing Lopez & Lizardi before earning his Juris Doctor, cum laude, from the University of Arizona College of Law in 2017. Bours mainly assists clients in general business litigation matters, appellate representation, negligence and tort actions, and patent law, trademark and copyright issues.

Bours holds a Bachelor of Arts in economics, cum laude, from the University of Colorado. During his time in law school, Bours served as the managing editor of the Arizona Law Review, was a member of the Transaction Law Meet Team, and earned CALI Awards in Legal Research and Transaction Law Meet Skills, as well as a Certificate in Business Litigation.
