Burns & McDonnell expands building services

Burns & McDonnell promoted William (Billy) Price to lead its expanding Global Facilities team in the firm’s Phoenix office. Price will manage a multidiscipline group of technical professionals focused on designing and constructing facilities across a multitude of industries, providing clients in the Southwest region with cost-effective design-build solutions.

Price has more than a decade of experience as an architect and project manager. He has led multidisciplinary teams and managed the design and construction of nearly $200 million in projects for aerospace, electric utility and manufacturing businesses, as well as higher education institutions and commercial developers. He received a master’s degree in architecture and a bachelor’s degree in art and design from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.

NAI Horizon bolsters retail team

NAI Horizon bolstered its retail properties division with the hiring of 22-year industry veteran Mike Kumelski.

Kumelski, who will be a vice president, has specialized in retail leasing, development, tenant representation, and sales. Since the start of his real estate career in 1997, he has completed more than 1,200 transactions, including the development of 2 million square feet of shopping centers.

During his career, Kumelski has worked for private and public brokerage firms and private and public development companies.  At NAI Horizon, he will focus on his representation of regional and national tenants leveraging the NAI platform.  He will also work as the landlord representative on listings for select clients.

Sundt promotes 2 in concrete division

Sundt Construction, Inc. (www.sundt.com) has promoted two employee-owners within its Concrete Division. Ron Eldridge has been promoted to general superintendent, and Todd Seawell has been promoted to area manager.

“The promotion of both Ron and Todd will help us continue our growth and ability to execute with skill and precision across all Sundt groups and regions,” said Shawn Blubaum, Vice President and Operations Manager for Sundt’s Concrete Division. “Having Ron and Todd in these new positions will help to increase our ‘boots on the ground’ approach within our Concrete Division operations.”

Eldridge brings over 40 years of experience in the construction industry, including 17 years with Sundt. He will oversee the Concrete Division’s field operations on its California projects. 

Seawell will oversee all self-perform concrete field operations on the company’s Industrial and Building Group projects within Arizona, West Texas, New Mexico, Utah and Nevada. Seawell has over 30 years of construction experience on a wide range of projects in both type and size, including over two years with Sundt as a senior project manager within the Concrete Division.

Sundt’s Concrete Division performs intra-company work with its own highly skilled crew. The team’s work can be seen on such notable projects as the award-winning City of Fort Worth’s West Seventh Street Bridge, the Rental Car Center at the San Diego International Airport, the Dial Corporate Headquarters & Research and Development Facility in Phoenix and many more.

ISM Raceway announces executive promotions

ISM Raceway announced the promotion of two executives. Jonathan Stone has been promoted to Senior Director of Corporate Sales and Mark Bailey will move into the newly created role of Senior Manager of Corporate Sales and Hospitality. 

“Mark and Jonathan have been integral assets to ISM Raceway throughout their tenure,” said Scott Rovn, Vice President of Sales and Communications at ISM Raceway. “They are instrumental to the partnerships and corporate activations associated with the ISM Raceway Project Powered by DC Solar and I look forward to working with them for many years to come at the new ISM Raceway.” 

Stone celebrates nearly 11 years at the track and prior to this role, was charged with developing strategic marketing partnerships, as well as creating unique hospitality experiences at the track. He will continue to assist with the ongoing development of the corporate sales team in addition to overseeing ticket sales for the organization. Before his tenure at ISM Raceway, Stone supported ticket sales for the Arizona Coyotes. He holds a master’s degree in sports management and sports marketing from Indiana University Bloomington and a bachelor’s degree from Purdue University.

“I feel incredibly fortunate to work with the amazing people at ISM Raceway,” said Stone. “This opportunity comes at an exciting time in our track history. I look forward to collaborating with our talented team as we deliver the best motorsports experience to our fans and corporate partners.”  

Prior to this appointment as Senior Manager of Corporate Sales and Hospitality, Bailey was charged with business development efforts surrounding corporate sales inventory for the Raceway, including corporate chalets, tickets packages, high-end hospitality and sponsorship opportunities. Before joining ISM Raceway in 2016, he led facility sales at Auto Club Speedway and supported event operations for Daytona International Speedway. Bailey holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Florida.

“As we approach the finish line of the ISM Raceway Project Powered by DC Solar and look towards Opening Weekend of the new ISM Raceway this November, I’m incredibly excited to move into this new era at the track and eager to take on this new role within our organization,” said Bailey. 

Bailey and Stone assumed their new roles on September 1, 2018, two months before Opening Weekend at ISM Raceway during the Can-Am 500 Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series Semi-Final Playoff Race in November.
