Mark-Taylor names new executives to leadership team

As the multifamily sector moves into its most exciting and lucrative time in decades, industry leader Mark-Taylor has retained a team of new executives in human resources and marketing.

Senior Director of Human Resources Lyrit Edmunds, Director of Brand & Communications Dustin Lacey and Manager of Business Operations Lauren Borgeson are new additions to the Mark-Taylor leadership team.

“The luxury multifamily market is bustling with more communities, discriminating residents, sophisticated investors and talented professionals who are eager to learn and grow in this sector,” said Mark-Taylor Companies Executive Vice President Chris Brozina. “These executives are charged with reinforcing the Mark-Taylor name and quality standards, and creating a best in class workplace in this dynamic marketplace.”

In the role of Senior Director of Human Resources, Lyrit Edmunds oversees all HR functions including talent acquisition, employee relations, compensation and benefits, compliance, training and career development. A native of Israel, Edmunds was a Vice President at executive search company Govig & Associates prior to joining Mark-Taylor.

Director of Brand & Communications Dustin Lacey is responsible for development and execution of corporate marketing strategies as well as internal/external communication efforts, overseeing property-level marketing efforts to ensure consistency throughout the managed portfolio. Lacey joined Mark-Taylor from the Rain Bird Corporation. He is a graduate of the University of Arizona and obtained his MBA from the Thunderbird School of Global Management.

Lauren Borgeson joined Mark-Taylor as Manager of Business Operations to support both Edmunds and Lacey with marketing and HR functions. She was most recently with Infusionsoft, where she was responsible for contributing to the company’s talent acquisition strategies and leading the Elite programs, a leadership development program aimed at helping business owners grow and develop high-performing teams.  Prior to Infusionsoft, she was an executive recruiter with Govig & Associates. Borgeson graduated from the University of Arizona.

W.E. O’Neil announced the addition of Robert Duceatt to our team of construction professionals. Robert will serve in the role of BIM Manager in our Phoenix office.

With a strong background in architectural and construction technology, Robert has a solid foundation for virtual construction, BIM and prefabrication/preassembly. During his professional career, he has served in the roles of Architectural Design, BIM Coordinator, Manager of Virtual Construction, Senior Virtual Construction Engineer and BIM Manager for other great and successful companies. As BIM Manager, Robert will be in charge of setting, implementing and maintaining standards of operation for BIM coordination, file-sharing, modeling and marketing for the Arizona office.

W.E. O’Neil also announced that Jimmy Rosales has accepted a full-time position after completing his internship. Jimmy will serve in the role of Project Engineer in our Phoenix office.

Jimmy graduated from Arizona State University in May with a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering. He joins our team of construction professionals after recently completing an internship with the company where he performed in the role of Project Engineer for the Morrison Ranch Senior Living project in Gilbert, Arizona.

Jimmy brings enthusiasm and experience to W.E. O’Neil with his professional work as a Regional Project Engineer with Kroger/Fry’s Division, and as a Transportation Engineer Intern with the City of Phoenix. Jimmy is a member of the American Society of Civil Engineers, as well as the Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers.

Greenberg Traurig expands hospitality practice

Global law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP further expanded its Real Estate Practice’s Hospitality Group with the addition of Caroline A. Pricher as of counsel in the Phoenix office. Her move comes on the heels of Andrew C. Williams joining the firm’s Hospitality Group in January. A former Greenberg Traurig associate, Pricher rejoins the firm from Dentons, where she was a member of the Hotels and Leisure practice group.

“Caroline brings a wealth of hospitality law experience to Greenberg Traurig, and we are excited to welcome her,” Greenberg Traurig’s Hospitality Group co-chairs Richard F. Davis, Nelson F. Migdal, and Michael J. Sullivan said in a joint statement. “With the addition of Caroline to our growing hospitality group, we continue to strengthen our hospitality law operations, transaction, and financing capabilities in service to our clients.”

Pricher focuses her practice on real estate transactions in the hospitality sector. She represents clients in the purchase, sale, entitlement, development, management, and operation of luxury hotels, resorts, mixed-use projects, condo-hotels, golf courses, and resort communities throughout North America, the Caribbean, Europe, and Asia. Caroline advises on purchase and sale agreements, as well as stock purchase agreements. She counsels owners and managers of hospitality and real estate ventures regarding transaction structure and project management, including employment issues, rental programs, governance issues, redevelopment, and restructuring.
