Sonora Behavioral Health Hospital names new CEO and COO

Sonora Behavioral Health Hospital, a leading provider of acute psychiatric care for children and adults, has appointed Michael Tacke CEO and Vanessa Seaney, LCSW, CPHQ, Chief Operating Officer. 

Tacke was previously with Acadia Healthcare, a provider of behavioral healthcare services and parent company for Sonora Behavioral Health that operates a network of 586 behavioral healthcare facilities in 40 states, the United Kingdom and Puerto Rico. 

He has extensive experience in operations management and leadership, having served as a Green Beret in the US Army’s Special Forces in Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom.

Tacke earned his Master of Business Administration degree from Lipscomb University in Nashville, Tenn.

A 30-year veteran of the behavioral health industry, Seaney was previously President and Chief Executive Officer of Community Partners, Inc., a comprehensive integrated behavioral health services provider in Arizona. She also served in leadership capacity as the Chief Operating Officer at Community Partnership of Southern Arizona, a past Regional Behavioral Health Authority. 

Seaney has extensive clinical experience in the delivery of behavioral health therapeutic services, crisis response and treatment program development.

She received her Bachelor of Science degree in psychology from Northern Arizona University and earned her Master’s degree in social work from Arizona State University. She is an independently licensed clinical social worker and is a certified professional in healthcare quality.

McCarthy Building Companies hires Christine Mostaert

McCarthy Building Companies Inc. (www.mccarthy.com) recently hired Christine Mostaert as vice president of finance for the Southwest region.

In this role, Mostaert will oversee the financial and operational results for a geographic area with revenue of more than $1 billion annually, which includes Arizona, New Mexico, Nevada, Colorado and Utah. She will also provide operational leadership to McCarthy’s Renewable Energy team as a result of her experience working on the often-complex financial aspects of solar projects.

Mostaert has more than 25 years experience in controller and director of finance roles for major construction companies based in Phoenix, Des Moines and Minneapolis.

“Christine will lead financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting and strategic planning for our Southwest region,” said Justin Kelton, president of McCarthy Building Companies’ Southwest region. “With her diverse construction-related finance background, we are excited to bring her on board as a financial partner.”

Mostaert will be an active participant in the McCarthy Partnership for Women, a national resource group designed to further strengthen a company culture where the best women want to come, stay and grow in their careers, as well as to more effectively promote the industry to the future workforce.

Krizia Verplancke named Latina Leader of Tomorrow

Gust Rosenfeld announced that Krizia Verplancke was honored by the Latina Mentoring Project (“LMP”) as the 2019 Latina Leader of Tomorrow. Krizia received the award on Saturday, March 30th during the 15th Annual LMP Spring Latina Lawyers Brunch. 

The LMP is a statewide mentoring and pipeline program in Arizona which was started by the Honorable Mary Murguia of the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals. The goal of the LMP is to provide support and foster mentoring relationships between Latinas who are undergraduates interested in law, law students, lawyers, and judges. The LMP is supported by Los Abogados, Arizona’s Hispanic Bar Association, and also by the Hispanic National Bar Association (“HNBA”). The LMP has grown into the largest mentoring program of its kind in the state of Arizona. There are currently more than 200 participants in the program.

Krizia is actively involved in Los Abogados, serving on its Board of Directors, and the HNBA, acting as its Deputy Regional President for Region XIV. She also served as the President of the Chicano Latino Law Student Association while attending the Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law.

Glendale names new Development Services Director

The city of Glendale welcomed Eric Fitzer as the city’s new Development Services Director. Fitzer brings 14 years of experience in the public sector to his new position, most recently serving for five years as the Community Services Director for the city of Surprise.

Fitzer has a well-rounded background in each of the key functional areas where the city will rely on his leadership. In his new role, Fitzer will oversee the Building Safety, Code Compliance and Planning Divisions. Development Services is the chief regulatory agency for the city and it manages investment and growth. It ensures the city’s built-environment meets the expectations of those we serve.

On the Money welcomes Robyn Cohen

On the Money, LLC, an accounting and bookkeeping firm in Phoenix, welcomed accounting professional Robyn Cohen of Scottsdale to their team. Highly detailed and principled, Robyn brings more than 20 years of experience in business management, overhead analysis expertise and budgeting and forecasting.

In addition to the more familiar accounting responsibilities, Robyn’s wide range of skill sets include implementing standards for financial procedures, preparing financial data for taxes, evaluating employee performance, and generating cost-savings. Robyn has deep roots in the entertainment industry, having served as a financial analyst for a motion picture company and as a senior accountant in a firm working on behalf of celebrities. She holds a master’s degree in business administration from Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles.
