Stantec strengthens transportation team with 3 hires

Stantec recently added three key managers to its Transportation team in the Southwest. Krishna Anantuni and Rob Lemke are joining the firm’s Phoenix, Arizona, office, while M’balia Tagoe-Guzman joins the Las Vegas, Nevada, office. The three bring more than 80 years of project experience to Stantec’s Transportation group, which numbers nearly 150 in the region.

Anantuni is well-known in the Phoenix Metro area and has more than 28 years of experience managing transportation projects and design services for the Arizona Department of Transportation (ADOT) and other municipal agencies in the state. He is a transportation sector leader and a Stantec principal.

Anantuni has extensive knowledge of federal, state, and city design standards, guidelines, rules, and regulations, which he acquired while working on some of the largest transportation projects in the state. He has provided project management and traffic engineering expertise for the design of multiple projects ranging from freeway construction to intersection improvements. As sector leader, Anantuni is charged with growing the firm’s transportation presence in Arizona. He is managing Stantec’s efforts for light rail and highway design projects in the Southwest. Anantuni received his bachelor’s degree from Osmania University and his master’s degree from Arizona State University. He is a professional engineer in Arizona and a member of the Institute of Transportation Engineers.

Lemke is Stantec principal, a business developer, and senior project manager for major transportation infrastructure projects in Arizona and throughout the US. He joins Stantec with 32 years of experience, most recently serving as an executive vice president in charge of the design and management of transportation-related projects for an Arizona-based engineering firm.

A design-build expert, Lemke has an excellent understanding of all facets of engineering projects, from planning and environmental studies, to preliminary design, including corridor studies, and design concept reports. He is an active member of American Council of Engineering Companies, the American Society of Civil Engineers, and the International Registry of Professional Engineers. He is a professional engineer in 15 states including Arizona, Nevada, New Mexico, Colorado, and Utah, and is a graduate of North Dakota State University.

Arizona businesswomen promoted to leadership positions

Title Alliance, Ltd (Title Alliance), a RESPA-compliant ESOP leader in joint ventured title insurance agencies, announced today it has appointed Debbie Marquez as Account Manager and Jenni Eaton as Company Manager, both for Title Alliance of Arizona. 

Marquez’s career in the title industry dates back to 1994 where she worked with builder business until the market shifted in 2008.  She then moved to work on overseeing residential sales for the State of New Mexico before serving as Operations Manager for a bank. Since joining Title Alliance in 2017, Marquez held roles as Escrow Officer and most recently Branch Manager, where she dramatically increased business and presence of the company in the marketplace. In her new role, she will be responsible for overseeing client relationships as she works to obtain new business. Marquez will work as a trusted advisor providing her clients with opportunities for business growth by aligning them with products and people who can influence their business trajectory.

“I want to take my 25 years’ experience to the next level. I have personally been involved in more than 15,000 escrow transactions and I feel I have the experience in escrow to be a true asset in the field,” says Marquez. “We are in a relationship business and I truly care for my clients. I feel that I can work hand in hand with them as their friend, business associate and co-worker.” 

Eaton has 17 years of experience in the title industry, where she began as a receptionist in an escrow office. Her career has developed as she’s learned everything from answering phones, to opening new files, to clearing title reports, to facilitating loan documents signing in the closing. Since joining Title Alliance in 2016, Eaton has held the role of Branch Manager where she led her team and branch to set regional records in terms of business developed within her branch. As Company Manager, she will manage both branches of Title Alliance of Arizona to streamline processes and the customer experience. Eaton will be responsible for working with Marquez to grow the business while using the T.A. Way to set their company apart from the competition in the marketplace. 

TPI Composites makes several moves

TPI Composites, Inc.,  the only independent manufacturer of composite wind blades with a global footprint, announced today that it has promoted William Siwek to President, effective May 8, 2019, and appointed Bryan Schumaker as Chief Financial Officer, effective May 13, 2019. Steven Lockard will continue to serve as the Chief Executive Officer of TPI.

In his new role as President, Bill will oversee TPI’s global operations, finance, supply chain, legal, human resources and information technology functions. During Bill’s tenure as TPI’s Chief Financial Officer beginning in August 2013, TPI has grown its revenue from $215 million in 2013 to over $1 billion in 2018, secured a customer supply agreement pipeline of over $6 billion in potential contract revenue and completed an initial public offering in July 2016.  

In his role as Chief Financial Officer, Bryan will lead TPI’s finance, accounting and investor relations functions. Prior to joining TPI, Bryan served in various financial roles at First Solar, Inc. from April 2008 to May 2019, most recently as its Chief Accounting Officer from July 2015 to May 2019, as well as the Chief Financial Officer of 8point3 Energy Partners, a publicly-traded limited partnership formed by First Solar and Sunpower Corporation to own, operate and acquire solar energy generation projects from July 2016 to July 2018. Prior to working at First Solar, Bryan spent over five years at Swift Transportation in various finance roles, including as Corporate Controller.  Bryan also has worked in public accounting at KPMG and at a BDO alliance firm in various roles.  Bryan holds a Bachelor of Business Administration – Accounting degree from the University of New Mexico and is a Certified Public Accountant.

TPI Composites also appointed Ramesh Gopalakrishnan as its Chief Operating Officer – Wind, effective May 1, 2019. In this position, Ramesh will lead TPI’s wind operations globally.

Ramesh has over 25 years of international wind energy, operations, manufacturing and technology experience. Since joining TPI in September 2016, Ramesh has helped set up greenfield operations in Mexico, China and India and has also developed TPI’s long-term technology strategy and strengthened our technical capability. Prior to joining TPI, Ramesh served in executive leadership roles at Senvion GmbH and Suzlon Energy Composites. Ramesh also worked in various technology, supply chain and operational leadership roles at Halliburton Company and General Electric Company earlier in his career.

Medicx Media Solutions expands leadership team

She previously held leadership positions at agencies including Spark Foundry, Outcome Health, and PHD Worldwide. In addition to life sciences and healthcare, her diverse experience spans verticals including telecom, automotive, technology, and CPG.
