The iconic Royal Palms Resort and Spa in Phoenix just completed the addition of 3,596 square feet of meeting and event space that is encompassed within two new outdoor venues just in time for Arizona’s busy season where ideal weather draws guests to the desert from every part of the country.

The 119-room resort, famous for its rich history as a private estate dating back nearly 100 years, is reminiscent of a Mediterranean-style retreat with original design details like rustic doors, winding stone paths, hand-painted tile, trickling fountains in tucked-away courtyards, roaring outdoor fireplaces and lush gardens. The property’s various meeting spaces naturally blur the lines between indoor and outdoor.

Along with the many emblematic features of the property, Royal Palms sits on nine acres just below the area’s famous Camelback Mountain making it one of the most desired places in the Valley to host an event or say “I Do”. Both outdoor venues were designed to perfectly highlight the coveted mountain views.

The property improvement by owner Xenia further enhances the resort’s group offering and include:

Camelback Vista

Tucked on the north side of the property, Camelback Vista is already one of the most desired and intimate venues at the resort with features including a fireplace with a surrounding brick patio, a pristine lawn, lush landscaping and a gated entrance for enhanced privacy. This space accommodates the following guests: 150 ceremony, 180 reception and 100 seated dinner.

Orange Grove

The newly imagined Orange Grove venue was built on the site of the historic estate’s original orange grove, one the first private groves in the area in the 1930s. Following suit with the rich history of the resort and the Spanish Colonial, Mediterranean and Mexican Hacienda styles, the new space offers a fireplace, pergola, brick pavers, tile mural, beautiful landscaping and, of course, orange trees. This space accommodates the following guests: 200 ceremony, 200 reception, 170 seated dinner.

Along with the two new outdoor venues, the resort also offers several additional locations on property to host meetings and events including the Alegria Garden, Vernadero Lawn, Estrella Salon, Palmera Salon and the Cervantes Room and Lounge.
