Velocity Retail Group’s Andy Kroot announced that Goodwill of Central Arizona sold its existing 87,000 SF building at 8515 W. Grand Ave. in Peoria.

The Mack Company will construct a new 25,000 SF building under a long-term lease for Goodwill to occupy on the premises with plans to eventually tear down the existing 87,000 SF building.

“We are honored to be able to help Goodwill of Central Arizona expand their presence in Arizona while positively impacting the community with each new store,” Kroot said.

“Goodwill now has more than 60 stores in the area with more planned for 2013/2014; we are continuing to search for great, high traffic locations. We are additionally pleased this follows the City of Peoria’s Master plan focus.”

The Mack Company plans to develop the excess acreage consisting of approximately 6 acres. The location is within the City of Peoria’s redevelopment area.
