ON Semiconductor (Nasdaq: ON), driving energy efficiency innovations, today announced it has been named to the 2016 Forbes America’s Best Employers list in the “Midsize Employers” category, which includes 250 organizations with 1,000 to 5,000 employees in America (international employees aren’t considered for this list). This honor comes on the heels of ON Semiconductor’s 2016 World’s Most Ethical Company® designation from the Ethisphere Institute.

Forbes indicated that companies were chosen based on an independent survey conducted by statistics portal Statista, from a sample of 30,000 American employees working for large or midsize firms or institutions. This survey was conducted on companies from all industry sectors employing more than 1,000 workers in the United States. Additionally, Forbes said that employees were contacted anonymously online, without the involvement of their employers, and that the respondents included in their sample were representative of the U.S. workforce by gender, age, region, education and ethnicity.

“I would like to thank our employees for scoring our corporate culture so highly on this survey, and for their hard work and dedication that enable our company’s success,” said Keith Jackson, ON Semiconductor president and chief executive officer. “We have seen similar results from our annual engagement surveys of ON Semiconductor’s more than 24,500 global employees, where they consistently give our culture high marks.”
